Not really. More than anything tortillas were more of an eating tool than a main dish. Plus ancient indian diets were based mostly on steamed/roasted/stewed vegetables and a little bit of turkey/deer.
Corn derived food became a main dish during the colonization because indians adopted the single crop system of the asspaniards; therefore the variety of seeds and vegetables was decimated.
