I agree that's basically nothing. But Germans didn't pay us even such pennies, yet they're seen as 'good guys' now.
Even German historians admit the value of destroyed property in Poland amounts to around 1 trillion euros, yet Germans go full mad when we ask them to compensate at least a small part of their 'contribution'.

The Japs submitted a plan 9 years ago on how to make Manila into something like Tokyo. It involves a lot of infrastructure building.
Many of them just finally started construction recently. I hope it makes Manila a better place soon.
