A chestnut? Never tried one, do they taste good? I usually only eat peanuts and pistachios.

I usually boil them and then remove the skin, it tastes like a sweet purée

Also a conker, but that's normally referring to the game where you tie them to a piece of string and try to destroy the one your friend has

Me. Used to soak mine in varnish and leave it on the radiator for a week

Castagne
My Canton survived eating those for centuries. Beer is good or also cakes. Or even simple roasted chestnuts

Ceci.

Cheating scum, perfidious from young it seems

We call it castañas too

Best comfy winter food. There is nothing like a really cold winter twilight in Lisbon when everyone is leaving work, christmas lights are up and all of a sudden the smell of roasted chestnuts feels the street, you buy a dozen and they are so warm and feel so good in your belly. I love them.

You're a clever young man. Now show dick

real chestnuts were almost wiped out here by a fungal epidemic. Only a few groves were innoculated in time to save them.

>real chestnuts

Are there fake chestnuts?

Here it's the same during winter there are chestnut sellers everywhere. We used to do a "castagnata" in school and it was my favourite day

We call it magosto
