As an introvert and borderline autisitic social retard, nebraska is based and Im glad I grew up here. No real danger, good enough internet, in the middle of the country so I can travel easily both ways, not too many people so dont have to talk to, smell, or hear the undesirables, the state is usually top 25 or higher in any meaningful statistic, most things are cheap. The only shitty thing is the warm summers. Unfortunately there are not many jobs in my field here and the best uni for grad school in my field is all the way in New York. I hope to move back to Nebraska or the midwest as soon as possible
