Probably the most alpha world leader currently alive.

Thailand was forced to fight for Japan though

It's easily forgettable. But a few days after Pearl Harbor Japan invaded, but it only lasted 2 hours

>Thailand was forced to fight for Japan though

On paper maybe. Mostly we just let them use our railroads while they let us keep Laos and Cambodia. But then the Allies won.

That's what Thais like to say now but all through the 30s Thailand was becoming more and more militarized. A big target of rhetoric was Western Imperialists, particularly the UK and France who had taken territory from Thailand in the 19th century. But the most attacks were aimed at Chinese who were seen as 5th columnists, greedy, and attempting to control the country for economic benefit. Thailand and Japan already had a close relationship, with many Thai military officers and intellectuals going to Japan for training. Thailand also had Japan's backing during their invasion of French Indochina which had mixed results. Afterwards Thailand claimed large chunks of British Burma (the Shan States) and northern Malaysia. Thailand was "briefly" invaded by Japan but negotiations were already underway to join Japan's war against the Western Allies. Thai troops helped invade British Burma and clashed with British troops in Malaysia.Thailand only returned it' "conquered" territory by order of the UN in 1946.

They literally copied the old Brit uniforms.

Those are military uniforms and Brits don't have a monopoly on red.

The lack of subtlety will come back to bite him in the ass.
