the "drama" portions of war and peace are supremely charming once it gets going. it begins with a description of a fancy aristocrat party that i found tedious, but the setting is necessary. just know it gets better.
comfy is definitely not the right word - in fact anywhere you see it on this website it's devoid of meaning. war and peace is at times profoundly depressing, uplifting, and scientific.
