>In March, the county was named the happiest country in the world by the UN’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Not only is it the happiest, it is also the safest, freest and least affected by organised crime. Another recent study on citizen trust showed that more than four in five Finns trusted other Finns, highlighting the societal cohesion within the nation. Occupying a somewhat delicate geographic position, Finnish leaders have also successfully cultivated relationships with Russia and the West.

>Hungary continues to perform strongly in the Digital sub-index. This is a definitive sign that the government is making effective use of its digital diplomacy tools and that Hungarian citizens are increasingly interconnected in the digital environment.
>You get points for effective propaganda
What a great list
None meme answer basically it's a country's ability to persuade other countries to their side with culture and things like financial institutions
cultural influence and imports mainly
if x country depends on y countrys imports y country has a soft power over country x
Then shouldn't the US and China be on top?
are you chinese or japanese?
I'm javanese
US yes china no
chinese economy strongly depends on exporting their goods so their soft power is weak but cheap manufacturing give them some power
what the fuck a 3rd kind of asian
What about chinese influence over developing countries with loans and infrastructure projects?
Yes china is trying really hard to increase their soft power with the new belt and road initiative but theyre not there yet but I wouldnt be surprised if theyll be a lot higher in the future especially with their 5g technology
How is Germany number 3 all they do is make cars.
Why are we even on the list
Bong!
Soft power.
I like this list not because we are first but because we are ahead of France
How can Shitzerland be above us on the list?
>Despite being the freest liberal democracy in the world, Sweden is not immune to the nationalistic and xenophobic sentiments that have spread across most of Europe. A surge in gang violence has incited anti-immigration sentiments, paving the way for a far-right party to make gains in the upcoming Swedish elections.
lol what a fucking biased gay website
You had just a little bit of gang violence pop out of nowhere, and then you had to turn all racist and ruin everything.
Aren't you ashamed?
