The US if you score high on the ASVAB and can pass a top secret security clearance, was a CTR in the Navy and I got to travel a lot, was an easy desk job, joined as an officer since I had a degree. Got out and I got multiple six digit offers from 3 letter agencies just for the military experience and having a top secret security clearance. The military has so many socialized benefits it almost tricks you into thinking America is first world. Free uni, free housing, free healthcare, $70k in fun money, I get a special no interest mortgage, long vacation etc.

What's required to pass a top secret check? Would anything hold you back assuming you have no criminal records and no money problems?

I've only ever been in one and only as a conscript for less than a year, but I can safely say Finnish military experience is unlike anything else you have on Earth.
It's such an integral part of the Finnish experience that some of our highest quality memes revolve around it.

I spoke to a navy officer recruiter and he basically told me to enlist or fuck off, since my GPA was at 2.8 or something like that. Didn't even give me a chance to take their tests or anything. I might call them back since some time has passed and see if he says the same thing.
