WHERE IS IT

I've met Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Kyrgyzs, Tajikis but never a Turkmen.
I heard their dictator put a lot of heavy restrictions on them and tried to force the entire population to move to the capital at some and that's it, nothing else.
Even when they played in the Asian Cup, they were no where to be seen. What went wrong?
