Which language is easiest to pronounce for an English speaker?

Dutch, German, or French?

Pretty sure it'd be French. Dutch is extremely annoying for non-native speakers to learn, I've been told.

hebrew

Can confirm, that sound for g like in geen for example is so weird even after all the time I’ve spent practicing pronunciation.

yeah i think so too.

i think i got the french "r" down, it's basically like blowing air through your flagellum.

is there any other tricky things to pronounce in french or is it mostly just the fact the spelling doesn't make sense?

the german r is harder than the french r for me. are there many other fucked up pronunciations in german that might be hard as well? or just long ass words? i've never done a real german r, but i've done french rs right.

Yup that gutteral sound is very hard to reproduce. Also our language relies a lot on odd grammar exceptions, moreso than English.

also, i can never do danish pronunciation or the "trilled r" in scandinavian languages

neither can i do italian or spanish rolled r's. so i guess i'm just going to learn french then. but that's okay i like french.

Good luck buddy

thanks for the help :)

btw is Walloon french much different than standard french?

>Dutch is extremely annoying for non-native speakers to learn
stop this idiotic meme
if anything dutch is the easiest foreign language for english speakers

is French really easy for anglophones to pronounce? as for grammar sure, but pronunciation? the intonation is hellish

it's easy to read, but not to pronounce

it's just the r that was hard for me. you just gotta speak from the back of your throat really, put more umph into your "u" and "o" sounds and whatnot

most of the sounds are found in english besides the r imo. the rest are just like putting on an accent but saying the same sounds.

yes, but the way that guy put it made me think he believes the idiotic notion that Dutch as a language is somehow very difficult to learn for foreigners which is a meme a lot of Dutch people unironically believe

idk

it would be pretty impossible to actually pronounce it so im not sure if it would even be understood by the dutch

Parisian r isn't so hard for me as people say, although l sometimes substitute it with hard palate
the problems are
1. what about the 3(4) nasal vowels?
2. intonation?
3. /y/?

i got this a lot too and i really don't understand it. dutch is super easy, it was so easy i was guessing at sentences with a handful of words and they'd be right

what about me licking your butthole?

did you ever think of that...?

hard to not feel like a retard
