>system that demands you forfeit your rights if you're outnumbered
I'd be glad to cripple it.

Imagine being less of a democracy than a country that only got out of a brutal authoritarian dictatorship in late 1980s where soldiers literally massacred thousands of protestors.

What is the criteria? I guess it may be due the fact that you only have a chance of being elected being rich or through nepotism?

Actually all of those have a newer democracy than the USA, don't they?

why is japan a flawed democracy?

>UK
>First past the post system
>Full democracy

basically a one party state.

Corrupt criminal justice system

because their score is lower than 8.01

u mean just like china

japan has an emperor tho.

Yes

literally a one party state
think of erdogan's akp but people have been electing them since ww2

Not UK

>equal civil liberties to fucking south africa and less than columbia

>a republic is a democracy

>any EU country
>full democracy

A democratic republic

kek. who even started the "us is not a democracy but a republic" meme?

Democracy is bad. People are just too stupid to vote. Just look at what democracy has given us after ww2 ended. Fascism is unironically the only way to salvage the west now.

Probably Jefferson or some other fedora tipping USA founder.

Any republic isn't a democracy.

The only true democracy is Switzerland, everybody else is republics.

>spain
>malta
>uruguay
>above the us
what?

truuue. actually monarchies are the real democracies

Attached: card_861f20a9-77bc-49d4-92ff-77184febd05e.png (400x533, 363K)

like the uk, japan, netherlands, sweden, denmark...?

yes

Those are republics, not democracies

so if you replace you monarch by an elected president but change literally nothing else, sweden will cease to be a democracy.?

>those are republics
>have a monarch

Attached: vO7lRZ7.png (621x702, 56K)

Monarchs have no real power, they're just a popular figure head

what matters is who is the head of state. if it's a monarch, it's a monarchy. if it's not a monarch, it's a republic.

JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA

>The Economist

Butthurt after Trump won.

yes

>The decline reflected a fall β€œin popular confidence in the functioning of public institutions, a trend that predated β€” and aided β€” the election of Donald Trump,” according to the report.
literally

Funded illegally by Russians and lost the popular vote.

>UK
>Full democracy
That's a meme list.

There's any chart where they are not above mexico?

No idea but it makes since I found out that Americans don't learn the ochlocracy-democracy distinction in school.

>massive endemic corruption right up to the the highest level of government and organized crime
>literal violent insurgencies going on
>standing for major or becoming a journalist is a literal death sentence in some cities

ITT: assblasted freedomlets

Why did you post this on Jow Forums?

we just get a bad rap, but when it comes to corruption most south American countries rank below us, which is nothing to be proud of. Only Chile and Uruguay are less corrupt, unironically. Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador consistently get rekt in those rankings. Not denying that corruption is endemic in this cunt tho

Singapore lower than Maphilindo

Democracy is a meme.

Daily reminder that America isn't really even a democracy at all.

No it's even more pathetic. They have elections it's just that the other parties usually fail to unseat them.
