Are robocallers a problem in other countries?

Are robocallers a problem in other countries?
In US they are really really bad.

Some estimates say that 50% of US mobile traffic are them now, lol.
Even the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) is targeting them now.

I personally average like ~12-20 every two weeks. The big issue is I sometimes ignore calls from my Uni because of just ignoring calls by instinct.
I also have like 50 blocked numbers now.

No.
Although, there are some African numbers that call me from time to time but I never tried answering them. I guess they're scammers.

Shiiiiieeet
I get at least one call a day
Same as you, I ignore all calls from unknown numbers

No. I used to get lots (like 1 or 2 per day) unwanted calls from call centers trying to sell me mobile/landline subscriptions.

Then I signed up for the national registry of numbers who don't wish to be contacted for advertising (if they do they get fined) so the calls stopped.

YES, started receiving about 7 a day since the start of this year.

Non-existent here.

i think you need to explain such unknown terms.
out of context a robbocall is a call from a robot?
i didnt know that happens anywhere

Automatic scam and advertising calls with recorded voice messages.

Never happend to me.

I had 450 in a week. I had 11 when I was in the phone company store. they were laughing like it was the funniest shit ever. fuck you verizon. cricket is better.

I used to get robocalls once or twice per week, but the last couple months have been terrible. Almost every call I receive is spam--a "warning" from the I.R.S, MasterCard calling about my account or someone notifying me that I qualify for special student loan repayment subsidies.

Just gonna stop picking up for unknown numbers form now on.

FWIW, I lived in India for a few years--and I didn't get this many robocalls on my Indian number, either. Most spam callers were actual people and would just hang up and never call back if you yell at them in an American accent.

not really
i get random calls from banks sometimes but not much

Yes I get them every day. Also a few people have given my phone number to people as theirs. I never pick up my phone anymore.

i used to get none but i changed my number n now i get a shitton.

No, actually

every day i get called multiple times by the same fucking number
i blocked it but i get notifications for each blocked call and i noticed i get called 3-8 times per day by the same fucking number
with my previous number it was worse, i kept getting calls and texts from some kind of shady ass moneylenders that sounded like scammers, the texts were all trying to get some guy i don't even know to pay them, with texts ranging from "reminder u have to pay us lol" to "PAY US OR WE'LL SEIZE YOUR SHIT" kind of stuff
they bothered me nonstop for months until they apparently decided to give up and didn't contact me anymore

They are a small problem here but not on the same scale as in the US, and actually it seems like recently the amount has dropped significantly

Last year most Australians probably recieved one or two per week, but now that you mention it I don't think I've received a single one this year

Another interesting thing is that many of them here are in Chinese

If you press 1 on some of the calls it transfers you to a pajeet, I always REEEEE at the top of my lungs directly into the receiver as soon as they pick up.

I get one call from a robot a day. This shit is pathetic and I want to cancel my service provider for letting this shit carry on.

every few weeks a robot, but we also get a call from a pajeet every week or so i'd say
they're fun to fuck around with, and you're doing a good deed at the same time because you're stopping some old person who doesn't know any better from getting scammed while they're talking to you
not a brit btw, australian

They are, along with SMS spam.

There's a couple of numbers that always call, but even if you block them the call still gets through. Annoying as fuck. The best thing you can do is to not answer any unknown numbers at all since there's a certain risk one of the calls is a gang asking for extortion.

I get a call every other day and what sucks is that I can't play jokes on them the same way I played jokes on human callers who tired to sell me something back in the day.

Literally never had one. Some shitty gas chain used to send me promotional texts, I asked them to stop. They didn't. Reported them for GDPR violation. Felt good.
