Post your city's THEATRO MVNICIPAL
Post your city's THEATRO MVNICIPAL
absolute state
It's nice.
how often does the average citizen get to visit these things?
Whenever there's a "post your country's x" thread, Latinx America by far has the best aesthetics but lots of people in most of those countries are super poor and live in slums. How often do you see 0n or Yalitza Aparicio at one of these things?
Saigon metropolitan theatre
there's this
but we also have this
I suppose this is the closest thing we have to a municipal theatre.
its being rebuilt
this is the theatre but the opera and philharmonic hall are nicer imo
Alexanders theatre built to honor Alexander II, back when we were still a Grand Duchy. Charles Gounod's Faust was played on the grand opening.
those or some pretty lamps mirroring the trees
Rio's is cooler
This is probably the closest thing
that looks super gay
how bout teatro nacional
fancy.
that led sign is sacrilege
aggreed. whoever thought it was a good idea should be burnt on a stake.
The roof reminds me of Hotel Diplomat here in Stockholm
>how often does the average citizen get to visit these things?
The average citizen is uncultured and poor so he'd rather spend his money and time on food/paying bills/booze.
Its literally just a theater. Anyone who pays for a ticket gets access.
Theatro 7 de Abril
One of the oldest theatres built in Brazil and the oldest in Rio Grande do Sul. Sadly it's now neglected and the façade is ruined
YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE
ops
Was the facade remodeled? Many such cases here.
I don't think it's even possible to take a picture of the entire front of the building, it's too fucking huge
Nay. It's more or less the same. It just fell into disrepair and the city allowed the construction of neighboring residential buildings. Real abominations
>opera
topic was theaters
this ugly thing is ours. the old municipal auditorium has sat empty and rotting since hurricane katrina and I'm still angry about it.
fine
that's unfortunate
HIHIIIIII. AHOW.
chamonae
HHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOW.
It's not a big city. It has only 300,000 people. In São Paulo, Rio or even the state capital, that theatre wouldn't have survived.
Marxism is one hell of a drug
the old auditorium. it's hard to find a good picture of it since it really isn't worth photographing any more.
It's not expensive to go there, but only wealthier people are educated enough to appreciate the theater.
We don't have the same the culture of popular plays/musicals like in the US, nor the same education level as Europe.
The theatre is not for everyone. i'd be lying if I said I liked it. I don't even like to watch movies or tv series.
pretty shitty desu
my city isnt that big
you and the yanks have a pretty boring architecture tb frank..
you should have built some colonial stuff
I know, but without proper universalized education, the amount of theatre lovers is much smaller and belongs to a much more select group of people.
Pori, nice
Very settle
it is pretty nice
Mine doesn't have any
surprising lack of italians in this thread
We also have a puppet theatre that looks like this
