I don't think it is. Regardless, I'm not likely to vote yes because it won't effect me - it's because I consider 4 years to be a bit long for a cooling off period (which I said previously). The only reason I mentioned that it will never effect me was to stave off people who might say "What if it happens to you?". If anything I think this allows me to assess the situation from a more objective standpoint. We definitely need fewer emotionally-driven voters in Irish politics.
