This is what I hate about the show. She's acting like an insane bitch the whole time, but other characters keep rambling how she's different and how Westeros will finally have a fair and just ruler. The only way to attempt rationalising it is to pretend that every male in the show is so hungry for some young Eastern pussy that they ignore how much of a narcissistic nutjob she is.

Same goes for Tyrion-Littlefinger-Sansa trio who are supposed to be resourceful masterminds, yet their actual actions don't reveal much intelligence, but you have to play along to follow the show and pretend like they're really very intelligent. That's the big issue with making "genius" characters, it's that the author is usually not a genius himself and he has no clue how a genius would actually behave and think.
