Half and quarter watermelons are aimed at singles or couples, they consume lot of space in fridges.
It was probably one of those branded perfect melons with the T shaped vine,it's basically a super class product like the strawberries or other perfectioned Japanese products, some fish kinds, fruits, veggies. They are not exactly for the mass production.
