That is noble. Would you have prefered the British killed Washington. Washington was British himself.

Guy who ordered the burning of DC got shot by a fucking farmer
Had to get carried back to Britain in a fucking pickle barrel

based

The funny thing is that this ACTUALLY happened. Except it was the French being polite. And they won the battle.

>this entire fucking thread

Everyone is retarded
Yorktown was only lost because of British honour and a sense of fair play

Of course. It had nothing to do with the British being outmanouvred, outnumbered 2:1 and their overseas reinforcements being sent to the bottom of the ocean or anything.

It was the naval Battle of the Capes. British Admiral Graves had the advantage because of the nor'easterly winds and the fact that the French under the Comte de Grasse took time too much time to close a proper line of battle. Despite being outnumbered, outgunned, and with his ships in worse repair, he allowed de Grasse's French fleet to form a line and engage on fair terms.
Graves honour cost him the battle and Cornwallis Yorktown.

>American education

It has less to do with honour and everything to do with preservation of life and property. At sea soldiers targeted officers and were instructed to do so. On a large ship only a few key officers actually know how everything works. If you can kill them you can win without excessive damage and bloodshed.
On land the opposite is true (or at least was true). The officers keep the men in check, prevent disorderly retreats that increase death tolls, they prevent chaos, they manoeuvre from a "big picture," perspective when and where necessary, etc. If all the officers get shot the army becomes an armed mob and the bloodshed (as well as rape, prisoner murder, and looting) is very likely to increase. So, unlike at sea, a soldier is not allowed to intentionally target an officer.

don't even know what war you're talking about or whatever, i'm sure it was very important in shartistan though

He's obviously talking about the Revolutionary War, you idiot.

It was important in Btitain too. We are referring to The 7 Years War Part II: Louis' Revenge

>british honor
HAHAHAHAHAZHAHAHAHAHAAHAH HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHFHDBWBJFJELQNW

Why would any modern day American even care about this event? Your ancestors were in Asia/Continental Europe at the time.

Never heard of Banastre Tarleton?

Oui, jereconnais avec vous que le mot "honour" doivent être rédigés en tant que telles, c'est amusant que lesAméricains soient stupides.

They are fed bullshit about Washington. They teach that he was a great leader, fair and patriarchal, even friendly with his slaves, he "could not tell a lie," he was offered a crown but would only serve 2 terms due to his high character and morals, etc. The only criticism they get regularly is that he was a "great leader of men and politician but mediocre field general."
In reality Washington was one of history's most despicable and greedy characters

not only that, but after north won the slaves they only took away slaves from south, the north still had slavery and american indians still had nigger slaves

Brits were the most proper and polite tyrants. Even when the Singaporean were liberated by the japanese, they remembered how nice the Brits were as masters.

This is why the English are the best, and it's an honour to clean their toilets

>nah we won because like they only fought in lines because they were stupid but we were smart and shot them from a distance

How are you this stupid?

>we shot everyone that we got in our sights
>no matter what side they are fighting
Fixed for you.

>let me tell you about Washington
he literally saved the colonial army from ruin multiple times. You're an absolute brainlet

kek, Nigels are so pathetic

He lost most of the battles. Your country was saved due to militia ambushing British soldiers. Exactly like Taliban in Afghanistan.

>He lost most of the battles.
Literally by 1
>Your country was saved due to militia ambushing British soldiers.
True

Congratulations, you technically earned this

not. an. argument.

Your founders were all treasonous scum.

t. bootlicker

What's that? i couldn't hear you because of that cuck stamp on your flag.

There is no shame in guerilla tactics, it works for a reason. There was literally no way that we were going to defeat the royal army in a "fair" fight.

Your flag is a literal carbon copy of a British Tea Company' very own colours.

They only discover it months later...
Also, very few countries changed their flag so many times in so few years of existence.

What do you want to argue about? Washington's competence? He wasn't a terrible general for his entire life, Saratoga campaign and Dorchester Heights were well done, but he was a slave owner, a liar, a traitor, greedy, often incompetent, disregarded his troops and veterans, a con-artist, a murderer, cowardly at times, a war criminal, and grotesquely overblown in the American public opinion.

>How are you this stupid?

No, Benjamin Franklin specifically said they should adopt the British East India Company's flag and the congress promptly did so. It wasn't a coincidence
