It's kind of difficult to explain briefly, but it's something like this: the generation of "reality" is not a passive process for existential "quantities"/lives. Observation is an act rather than a background "process." Since observation gives rise to reality, then there is no necessary firm or fixed boundary between physics and metaphysics. The construction of a metaphysical reality via belief/observation then becomes rather simple. Something like Christianity can be perceived as an ontological "superstructure" which can be easily integrated into your own perceptive reality. In other words, you are what you believe.
