How long does it take to typically find a job in your country ?
I have been employed since I was 14 (4 different jobs in total) and I'm now 24. Never actively looked for a job. That's how it goes for normal people here.
not more than a couple of days, sadly they are all slave tier "jobs"
What about a legitimate job ?
>not more than a couple of days, sadly they are all slave tier "jobs
.
It's easy if you have friend that can reccomend you.
I applied for like 4 internships at various FTSE 250/Fortune 500 during the summer of my penultimate year of uni, got one and now I work a grad job at the same company.
A few weeks
Easy if you can rely on nepotism, very difficult otherwise.
However long it takes to hand the manager your CV and give him a good firm handshake, champ.
you can be based neet instead
Here (in Australia, ignore flag) it is easy to find work if you aren't retarded and can sell yourself. If you have a specific field because you've got a degree, you may need to travel however places that need you give you relocation allowance. We are lucky here because while job vacancies say they want experience, they will take you with no experience of they think you are a good fit for the team. Classic aussie chill. However it is easier to walk from one job to another than it is from unemployment into a job (unless you have skills trade/academic). Very easy to get stuck in unemployment here.
this
Incredibly easy. There's a reason for the 1.2 million recent Canuck arrivals.
s...hut.... up...
what do you work?
a week maybe
Difficult if you're just starting out and looking to break into a good field. Easy if you already have a few years of experience in a good field.
>Graduate
>Send hundreds of applications, have professional grade CV, cover letter, linkedin, browse for jobs daily, try to leverage connections etc.
>Nothing
>Change careers and go back to school to do a degree that's actually in demand
>Send 5 applications for fun
>Instantly get a paid internship with great salary
Only got yourself to blame for not having marketable skills.
1-2 days
I recently got my bachelors about four weeks ago.
I have been actively applying to jobs, I’ve gotten around 20 replies from employers, have had about 5 or 6 interviews... but no actual job yet
I’ve also had two profs reccmonded me for jobs that I was a teachers assistant for previously
>I recently got my bachelors about four weeks ago.
English major? History? Kek
Computer science
Well, no Github portfolio? No relevant projects? No experiences in some frontend or backend frameworks?
If you have remotely on of those, hard to believe.
I have freinds who graduated last year with the same degree who are working as bank tellers right now
I studied accounting, before I did the first level of my cpa I worked sales. Most people I know have a shot first job out of uni but after about a year or two they are fine
>job
The fuck is that?
I don't care about your friends. These questions were directed to you.
You don't really think you get a job with 60k+/yr just because you passed some easy math classes right?
too long... Do you see my flag? well, my first and only job was abroad, in Belgium (thanks EU :) )
A week
months, maybe years
What city?
Toronto
don't know, never worked a day in my life
idk about the others but when i dropped out of uni my dad hired me
i'm a forced wagie
your dad clearly loves you
4 months maximum
>go to company
>give resumé and a firm handshake
>get job
About an hour
what type of jobs?
been avoiding work for 7 years now
This tbqh
warehouse job without any problem in a few days
Ok I should have clarified better I’m talking more along the lines of skilled jobs as opposed to general labour or working at McDonald’s
if you have no connections to just give you a job then it's
>send an application
>hear nothing for 3 months
>hey we want interview you/this position has been filled
>if you get an interview it will take at least another month if you even get the job
depends, how many resumes did you send and about your qualifications.
if you willing to learn, have a good qualifications, you should get response to max 1 week and start recrutional process, first interview etc.
when you finish all interviews and company wants to hire you, you have to sign a contract, and make all medical check-ups, after that you have a few days of training, and you should start work
I would say 2-3weeks, but it's from my point of view
I would not say it's hard to get a job here, especially when you have interesting skills (aside those required to your job).
It's really appropriate when you know any foreign language aside English for the example, although your occupation does not required it.
