the dinner.
There has to be a well prepared meal ready at exaclty 18:00 when the news are on the radio. Then we all sit and listen and eat.
Also if no potatos its no dinner.

Dinner, by far. Or Sunday lunch

Wow. dinner at 6? Here, dinner before 8 is considered distasteful. Well, I guess the Sun is to blame for these discrepancies

yep, just ate pizza with potatoes today.

well, you lot are fucked up, sitting in resturants until midnight.

Thanksgiving.

Hard to say over here. So many people live on such differing schedules. But I suppose dinner has the most social aspect to it. Families typically have dinner together most nights, room mates sit and eat while catching up on the days events or watching some kino. Friends typically go out for dinner before embarking on a night out at pubs and clubs.
Lots of people here either skip breakfast due to schedules or being unhealthy while fitness health nuts have light breakfasts before or after their morning workout. Lunch is really a school kid thing or 9-5 job thing but al lot of adult people have lunch alone on their lunch break.

Wow spotted

lunch i guess

Well, it's a matter of perspective or habit.
And to be fair, I hate having dinner past 8. But it's not uncommon (expected really) to have dinner at like 10 when you're with a group of friends. I personally hate it, but it's kinda a cultural trait, so I look away. And while I respect your ways, I personally think that dinner at 6 is too early

that is because you sleep at day, so you eat later?

Um, no. Siestas are only a thing in some parts of the country when the thermometer hits 40+ÂșC, and it's completely understandable - try getting your belly full when it's that HOT and then tell me why we're ''lazy''.
Either way, during the Summer the Sun sets at 9. But even during the Winter, people are programmed to have meals at 1 and 8 - that's when the newscasts air

my only experiance in Iberia is starting to get fucked while local families are still eating at like 22.

>be american
>go to uni in England
>pull all-night drinking and writing sessions with the writing society
>get a massive breakfast at weatherspoons while trying to evade the smell of alcohol to hold down breakfast
>now no breakfast at all
i wanna die
do you do tapas in households? it seems complicated to prepare numerous tiny dishes on a regular basis.

>do you do tapas in households?
only in special events like new years eve or nochevieja (the night before christmas) we have lots of small snacks

hello rare flag xD

its annoying when drunk foreigners have dinner super early and then start getting drunk at what we consider afternoon, way before our dinner

Lunch or dinner, breakfasts usually are eaten at recess or skipped

>get fucked
Getting wasted, as in getting drunk?

Eh, understandable, from a tourist's POV

Like I said, it's a matter of habit/customs
