Here are some traditional houses found in the Himalayan states of India, they look quite run down now because people are abandoning the villages to go work in the cities.

Chalet is pretty cozy, especially in winter, I got fond childhood memories sitting on a stovebench like that, a cat on my lap, granny tells me stories about mountain ghosts and and gramps and my parents play cards at the table.
