There are a bunch of threads about Oasis Labs / Ekiden, a project led by Dawn Song (pic related). The implication is that this is somehow a competitor to Chainlink. The truth is quite the opposite: it actually HELPS Chainlink.
Here's the deal: Dawn Song's project is exclusively about "trusted hardware enclaves" (aka "Trusted Execution Environments"). It has nothing to do with oracles. Chainlink on the other hand is a decentralized oracle network.
Chainlink's white paper also talks quite a lot about trusted enclaves, but it is nowhere close to Chainlink's priority.
Also, Dawn Song is a co-director of IC3, which is a partner to Chainlink. So if anything, Dawn Song's project complements Chainlink by further refining the trusted hardware aspect.
You don't get it do you. This isn't about it actually being a chainlink competitor. They just want the price to go down so they are trying to get brainlets to sell because they are swing trading scum that got BTFO by a green dildo.
You will get no reasonable responses.
Michael Richardson
it's all over
Jaxson Miller
Oh I get it. I just love BTFO-ing desperate fudders.
Parker Morales
>It solves the oracle problem >Not related to ChainLink
>this bad news is actually good for bitcoin, reddit!
Ryan Nelson
lmao you have no idea what oracles are, or what Ekiden does.
Lucas Brown
C O P E
Mason Anderson
This. Link fudders need a solid helping of cope.
Joshua Bailey
this, swing trading scum
>FUCKING SELL YOU SHITS >I SOLD AT 3700 WAITING FOR IT TO GO BACK TO 3300 HUNDRED BUT THEN IT JUST KEPT FUCKING GOING >SELL YOU FUCKING SHITS LOOK AT THIS FUCKING BITCH SELL >PLEASE FUCKING SELL
Brandon Nguyen
Fuck off, newfag
Lucas Robinson
Even if it were a real threat (it's not), it literally does not matter
First mover advantage is the most powerful thing in the game - Bitcoin is shit for all intents and purposes, but it's still king because it came first.
ctrl+f words like 'enclave', 'trusted hardware', ... and you get a whole bunch of results.
Matthew Rogers
the point of FUD is to drop the price. Stop spoon feeding stupid people
Angel Rivera
If it actually were a real threat, it would only confirm how important a project like Chainlink is.
And good luck catching up, knowing that Chainlink/Smartcontract has literaly years of top-tier industry exposure: Swift, WEF, Capgemini, Sony, AXA, etc.
Samuel Rivera
The point of investment is to raise the price.
Bentley Myers
she's qt
Isaac Roberts
it has nothing to do with "oracles" (a fancy name for middleware, which serves as an intermediary between the real world and blockchain technology) because it completely and utterly eradicates the need for oracles. which were never meant to be anything more than a temporary stop-gap anyway. Would you go back to wired controllers on your games consoles? LINK already had a short shelf life IF it got into the market early, but this announcement from Oasis Labs just halved it at least. Which basically crushes the value, especially when this Ekiden project is Silicon Valley's chosen one and the hype machine it will have.
Asher Hall
>literally scanning projects for buzzwords >doesn’t know what the words mean and how they fit together This is unironically good FUD for normies tho.
Juan Rivera
>trusted hardware eliminates the need for oracles AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I don't even want to begin to imagine being this much of a brainlet. Protip: the Chainlink white paper mentions the concept of trusted hardware (or enclave) a few dozen times. Start from there.
I literally explained what those words mean and how they fit in OP.
Parker Cox
>vietgook on team
I sold
William Stewart
This is the worst coping ever. You're just playing semantics dude, it's a direct competitor. It's like smrtphones are a competitor to phone booths.
Nicholas Davis
said pajeet after he couldn‘t buy back his 4 Linkies and now only can afford 1.
many such cases sad!
Juan Jenkins
so the data will magically transport itself into the blockchain? or will all the events happen inside the blockchains (we're gonna live in a matrix)?
Charles Campbell
You have no idea what trusted hardware or oracles are and do.
Colton Kelly
It's really kinda sad that despite the fact she publicly BTFO Chainlink and Ethereum you'd still be deluded enough to try and make the opposite assertion. I bet you're the guy who can't tell when a girl isn't interested in him and keeps on pestering her until she has no choice but to publicly cuckold him to make it clear.
Oliver White
OH NO NO NO HOW CAN DISCORD GROUPS EVER RECOVER
Grayson Nguyen
nigger your 10k links can wait longer. nothing is going to happen until sergey says so. Stop thinking you have control. Let it go, keep buying and wait
Brody Garcia
Sorry you couldn't come up with an argument. And thanks for the (You).
Jaxson Stewart
>Swift they won a contest. Stop making it more then it is
I'm pro swing trading this bitch, just sold todays top. my next buy is at 3500sats. t.link swinger
Camden Mitchell
so key that sergey didn't get an invite to sibos this year right?
Sebastian Perry
Why would he get invited this year?
Xavier Robinson
here we go posting the same old tired pics that you yourself didnt find. I know what it is. Fact is SWIFT and sergay never directly said they have a partnership. Sergey always dances around it every time it comes up. And that's a standard that link has to comply to. That does not mean that they have anything. Have you done any contracting work at all in your life?
Jaxon Wilson
he wouldn't because he hasn't made any progress
William Garcia
couldnt find the talking point that someone on Jow Forums posted. Why not think for your self?
Robert Russell
>muh partnership This isn't a Chinkscam, user. You want the Vechain or the OMG thread.
Even if Chainlink were already integrated into Swift's bond system, why would they ask Sergey to show how it works again?
What?
Hudson Myers
>>muh partnership >This isn't a Chinkscam, user. >You want the Vechain or the OMG thread. nice deflection. I dont think im going to get an answer.
>What? you know what im saying everything about link is posted then reposted then reposted. Think for your self
Grayson Robinson
>if my wacky scenario happened why wouldnt they do a wacky thing? really joggin my noggin
Grayson Harris
>nice deflection. I dont think im going to get an answer. Go look at other coins if you want to get mollified by meme words like 'partnership'.
>you know what im saying everything about link is posted then reposted then reposted What does this have to do with inviting Sergay again?
Jaxson Baker
The fuck are you even talking about? Answer the question: why on earth would they invite Sergey again this year just to show the exact same thing as last year?
Blake Powell
here we go. I feel bad for you. I can change the subject and not give a direct answer too.
>muh shit coin partnership buzzword.
Oliver Parker
he doesn't know because it wasn't memed here by someone else
Daniel Lopez
>literally unintentionally admitting sergey has made zero progress this year
>as one of the key implementations of ISO 20022. idiot its a standard that needs to be met. Anyone can make a token and make it to that standard are you fucking stupid or changing the subject on purpose. Show me where swift actually confirmed they are using their network. I dont want you hear some lawyer speak sergey uses either
Connor Cruz
>Swift lists the Chainlink PoC as one of the key examples of ISO20022 >YEAH BUT, NO BUT, YEAH BUT... RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
where is the example? I answered you already its a standard. You still dont have an answer for me. Just repeating the same thing over and over
Aaron Phillips
then don't buy link or sell if you have any, you think someone is gonna play your devil's advocate games to make you comfortable? Sell or fuck off, that's my only advice
Jordan Reyes
>where is the example? The Chainlink PoC is the example. Listed right alongside other examples including major projects like GPI (Swift's flagship cross-border payments project).
Daniel Cruz
BCH will have their own oracle after thr November update. All cryptos will eventually similarly implement their own solutions. Where's your god now?
David Brown
>The Chainlink PoC is the example. no its not you fucking idoit. All that proves is chainlink meets their standard. Swifts standard. Again i could make a shit coin and have it meet SWIFTS standard too.
Jayden Gutierrez
>All cryptos will eventually similarly implement their own solutions. Yes, that's much better than a middleware that can connect to any blockchain or DLT, even at the same time. /sarcasm
Hunter Sullivan
See pic in >"Examples of ISO 20022"
Aaron Baker
The day of the rope can't come soon enough for these greedy swing traders and their desperate fud.
This project and LINK do not seek to do the same thing in any capacity. Really, Oasis Labs' project is a direct competitor to Ethereum or other smartcontract ready blockchains like ADA or NEO. Chainlink is NOT A FUCKING BLOCKCHAIN PROTOCOL FOR SMART CONTRACTS. It's middleware for interfacing between smart contract platforms and existing data API. That's it. There is no way this project "fucks CL". In fact, CL's oracle is currently being developed to run in a secure execution environment, the same as the one being described by Song and exemplified/developed by Ari Juels. It is entirely possible that this Oasis blockchain will be able to leverage the chainlink oracle network. It's not a competitor.
Dylan Clark
it fills me with great joy to see all these greedy weak handed swingers get BTFO now they're presented with a choice: buy back in at a 30% loss or don't buy hoping it goes lower, at the risk of LINK going even higher oh how delightful to see them squirm like crabs in a bucket, trying to drag us down with them. No no that's not gonna happen my dears.
In a year all ICOs happen in BCH block chain and they already have their own oracle then. Link is DOA
Hudson Cruz
10k linkies boys!!! officially happy with this
Jacob Jenkins
>In a year all ICOs happen in BCH block chain Could you repeat that in English? I don't speak Pajeet.
Liam Davis
people are losing thousands. stop peddling bullshit to the normies, peoples lives are being wrecked who don't know any better. LINK is a scam and watching Jow Forums pull one over on the uneducated is horrible to watch.
Absolutely agree, bunch of greedy jerk offs. Hope they all get hung out to dry and have to fomo up. Sick of reading their bogus bullshit.
Ian James
It’s not worth it user. These people feel for the VeChain China hustle and they’re trying to drag you down with them. We will look down with pity on them when we make it
I can translate, I have a degree in toilet studies from the plumbing university of Bangalore. Pajeet says he's a fucking idiot.
Parker Howard
pepe baller never tells.
Daniel Rodriguez
Yeah I was just generally speaking on this new FUD
Cameron Nelson
it's literally plastered all over the website: smartcontract.com/link You honestly think Swift would allow that if they weren't working together? Use your head.
Jayden Nelson
>Ekiden i've know about Ekiden for like 3 months when i read their paper and its obvious this will be a perfect framework for chainlink to work on top of it. i remember reading it and being even more bullish about link
Nathan Miller
CS grad here, this is wrong. Dawn Song project make chainlink useless. TEE are a lot better than decentralized oracles
Christian Johnson
>(ID: 91h9UKyN)
Connor Wright
Not only do you not have any idea what you're talking about, but you didn't even read what I said.
Leo Adams
this. Most link holders fud themselves because they are not sure. so the best way to figure out is FUD it out and see if it can be debunked. pretty self explanatory. why do you think there's so much FUD about chainlink? people organically have interest and understand that the best way to figure out why something is a good investment is to figure out all the ways it isn't.
