Why are they so unironically religious?

It's weird seeing descendants of European settlers having a nativist identity based on a Christian White civilization, despite Christianity not even being in America 300 years ago.

We are honestly not nearly as religious as the perception, outside the bible belt.

A lot people just go to church because of guilt or how they were raised. I dont think most people are truly deeply religious outside the Bible Belt and blacks, particularly black women.

I believe it’s party due to the the World Wars. Europe was devastated by both wars, which not only led to Europeans being disillusioned with religion but also led to a decrease in nationalism. The United States only prospered as a result of both wars, which is why religion and nationalism are both prominent in our country. That being said, there are many factors but that is likely the biggest one.

It's because we're smart enough to see that it's the truth

Low IQ population

religion is a rural thing and nowhere in europe is truly rural nowadays

This sounds like total bullshit. More likely America just never had a secular revolution. Just like how it sees most social policies that aren't sufficiently lobbied as communism.
