Why are they so unironically religious?

Why are they so unironically religious?

It's weird seeing descendants of European settlers having a nativist identity based on a Christian White civilization, despite Christianity not even being in America 300 years ago.

We are honestly not nearly as religious as the perception, outside the bible belt.

A lot people just go to church because of guilt or how they were raised. I dont think most people are truly deeply religious outside the Bible Belt and blacks, particularly black women.

I believe it’s party due to the the World Wars. Europe was devastated by both wars, which not only led to Europeans being disillusioned with religion but also led to a decrease in nationalism. The United States only prospered as a result of both wars, which is why religion and nationalism are both prominent in our country. That being said, there are many factors but that is likely the biggest one.

It's because we're smart enough to see that it's the truth

Low IQ population

religion is a rural thing and nowhere in europe is truly rural nowadays

>The United States only prospered as a result of both wars, which is why religion and nationalism are both prominent in our country. That being said, there are many factors but that is likely the biggest one.

This sounds like total bullshit. More likely America just never had a secular revolution. Just like how it sees most social policies that aren't sufficiently lobbied as communism.

...

When life is good, people believe in religion. The millenials and zoomers are the most fucked generation and the least religious. Europe was fucked through the world wars and passed it on to to their kids. There are exceptions, like Poland, but overall this is true.

They are God's chosen people

I don’t really care what it sounds like, the impact of the wars is well documented and if you care about anything other than simply speculation you’re welcome to do your own research.

He is a US navy lieutenant.
Hello, Zhang.

It seems like every time we get too secular we have a Great Awakening which makes the population religious again.

We were literally founded by Puritans... dumb fuck

Why do you expect a Japanese person to be familiar with the puritans?

>despite Christianity not even being in America 300 years ago.

it's been here for like 400 years though. 500 if you count Columbus and whatnot.

Religions are just ideologies people embrace and follow.
In that sense ... there are no non-religious people.
Secular people often just make political ideologies their religion and can wind up just as repressive (usually even more so) than the old regions were.
Humans are tribal/cult followers.

>Founded by Christians deemed too extreme for Europe.
Hmmmm yes, really boggles the mind.

>Japanese person
More like an English teacher or someone in the military.

pretty much because they were more rural i think

This
The only Christians who regularly go to church live in bumfuck nowhere

But New England is now one of the least religious areas of the country today, with the descendants of the Puritans becoming first Unitarians over time, and eventually becoming secular
