thank you for asking
>thousands of protestors congregated at the military headquarters in a sit-in, to demand the creation of a civilian government
>talks between our representative body and the transitory military council stalled
>day before eid janjaweed militias and members of the intelligence enter and start firing indiscriminately at civilians
>others burned, beaten to death, raped. 40 bodies were recovered from the nile
>civilians demanded a total civil disobedience to paralyze their economic ability (military council)
>placed road blocks around neighbourhoods to aid that
>janjaweed roaming the capital removing them, beating civilians, robbing them of phones, breaking into and robbing stores, even shooting some to death out pure animalistic cruelty
>still gunfire outside the house
>military council claims it will investigate itself
horrible desu, we've never really experienced bloodshed of this kind

They're riding in Saudia/Emirati vehicles like pic related. Our army is complicit, Police is hiding, intelligence against us. Unarmed civilians against all of them, ridiculous

Are you ok?

Stories/testimonies from facebook
>2 field doctors in the protest site were raped at gunpoint
>one man: aiding a wounded friend was separated. friend shot and was told 'now bury him'
>father returning from airport with family and told to dance in front of his kids while beaten, his kids told to call him a 'dog'
>airport was part of the protest: workers forced to return, one who protested executed in front of this family
These people are beyond the scum of the earth and belong to a tribe known as the rezzaygat.

I hope the houthis/Iran utterly decimate these pricks in Yemen.

Yeah, we haven't left the house in 4 days. We'll just have to wait to see if the military council will do anything to stop its bloodshed

Hey, how did Sudan get so banged up Sudanon?

Did the military coup the civilian government with aid from the militias? What was their motive to do so? Who is their leader/would-be dictator? Are they divided into various factions? Is there any armed self-defense group willing to stand for the civilian protestors?
Also, I hope you're safe user

Hello friend

Well, the previous government did its absolute best to weaken the military, at the expense of the intelligence service and janjaweed militias

the latter are effectively unopposed in power and could easily push aside any other force. Now they're acting with the same impunity and lawlessness that they did in Darfur.

The problem is that unlike other countries who went through revolutions we have no army that respects civilians, no militias or groups willing to protect them. Lambs for slaughter.

The annoying part? I've been thinking about this scenario since 2015 and didn't do a single them to ensure I was prepared

what does this have to do with the yemeni civil war?

fren can you pack up your things and leave if things get too rowdy?

How did Janjaweed become a thing exactly?
Also, were you threatened by any of them? Are you safe?
