But nationality is also a very important part of us, you being a Croat defines much of your existance, and sharing that with millions of other people is a very strong bond which shouldn't be neglected. The problem starts when you start taking personal offense at slights made against an abstract concept like a nation that you yourself had absolutely no role in forming or developing. You were only born here, don't act like you personally fought in the wars or did the scientific research that led to some major advancement.
