For the JLPT (waste of money/time/whatever, I know), am I supposed to be able to read all the vocab for each level without furigana, or just the ones that only use kanji from that level's kanji list? I would assume the latter, but I just want to check.

based

Attached: lewdtoast-20190419-0004.jpg (750x750, 60K)

For each JLPT level there is a list of vocabulary that isn't related with the specific amount of kanjis "avaliable" for that level. So, you will have to take a lot of words in hiragana until you learn them kanjis in the next levels.

This is why I could think of what did you say about JLPT and waste of money and so, but this is what you would have to do if you want to have the degree.

If you ask me I don't think all this is well organized and prepared, but it is what we have.

新しく買ったブルートゥースキーボードの動きがクソのようです。今のPCのOSがwin10なのにwin8.1までしか対応してないのを買ったのがいけないんでしょうか。
何かご意見などありますか?

What exactly is not working nicely with it? I guess if doesn't officially support Win10 there can always be issues, but that seems unlikely for a new keyboard you just bought.

Have you tried googling for the same issue or looked a potential driver udpates?

I really don't know how to say tech things in Japanese so please bear with me.

Don't buy wireless unless you check the reviews for the product and see that it actually works properly, most wireless shit just doesn't work properly. What keyboard is it anyway

えっとねーUとかTのキーが認識されなくなったと思ったら、突然認識されてtとかの文字が20個ぐらい入力されんの。
めんどいかったから製品のドライバーとかはチェックしてませんでした。言われたので今からします。
>the isuue is that on some softwares (it seems it happens especially when browsing with internet explorer), it stops recognizing some keys such as T or U and then suddenly tens of those letters get typed after few seconds. I have been lazy so that I haven't checked that issue in google but this time around I'll defer to you words desu, thanks.

じゃあ何が必要

I'm using a bluetooth mouse which runs into connectivity issues on windows 10 from time to time. This has to do with the windows driver for the bluetooth adapter in my laptop.

I use a custom linux driver on the same machine and I never have a single issue. So depending on what hardware you use you might get lucky with custom drivers, depending on how willing you are to try them out and if they are available.

You should either check out custom drivers for your wifi/bluetooth card on Desktop or look for custom drivers for your specific laptop model.

Or return the shitty keyboard if you still can I guess.

昨日の夜は寝ませんでしたか
Is this right?
"Did you not sleep last night?

はいさい

Attached: D8nw1nOUYAEw_IT.jpg orig.jpg (800x1199, 208K)

You forgot てめえ

宝刀?

前の晩、寝れませんでしたか

料理のほうとうかな

>"Did you not sleep last night?"
>昨日の夜は寝ませんでしたか

これでも正しいんじゃないかな、と思うんだけど、"Did you not..."って言った場合は"not"が強調されてるんですよね?
なら、
>昨日の夜は寝なかったんですか?
>(”寝なかった”を強調した声で)
のほうがちょっと良くないですか?

>前の晩、寝れませんでしたか
これも意図するところは表現できてると思います

youtube.com/watch?v=j9DePWzBvvw

でも、例えば
"I haven't ever expect you actually getting up this early.. could it be, did you not sleep last night?"
>(お前がこんなに朝早く起きれるとは思わなかったよ..ひょっとして、昨日の夜は寝なかったのか?)
みたいな場合だと、”昨日の夜は寝れなかったのか?”と言うと違った意味になってしまいます。
どうなんでしょうか?実は"Did you not.."のニュアンスにまだ確信が持てません。
あと、ここで"could it be"の代わりに"by any chance"を使っても大丈夫なんでしょうか?

How would you say
There are many girls that would want to make a baby

沢山の女は赤ちゃんを作る欲しいする。

could it be=by any chance
You can even say "Could it be that by any chance you didn't sleep last night?" and it means the same thing as using either of those.
>I haven't ever expect you actually getting up this early
have never expected* and the entire sentence just doesn't feel like a proper translation
I didn't expect you could actually get up this early.
Did you not sleep=寝なかったのか
Could you not sleep=寝れなかったのか
The only difference here is the possibility aspect and nuance. First one asks if they did not sleep, it implies that they had the choice to sleep but didn't of their own will. Second one asks if they could not sleep, because something else like the weather outside, neighbours behind the wall or own worries couldn't let them sleep and they didn't pick to not sleep, they didn't have the option to, the potential.

THE POSSIBILITY

I didn't understand my own question and I definitely don't understand this

>Did you not sleep=寝なかったのか
>they had the choice to sleep but didn't of their own will

重ねてありがとうございます。
then, in the structure "did you not do something.." it focuses on "not" more than usual "don't", right?

Attached: u_org_25.png (861x1589, 208K)

???
It's not focusing on fucking anything

じゃあ"do you not"と”don' you”の違いはなんなの?
単に文語的な表現ってだけ?

>Do you not speak Japanese?

>Did you not go to Japan last year?

So is 神保 the name of the 暴力団 or what? It seems to also be a place name, but the manga doesn't have anything to do with it as far as I can tell.
If it is the name, what's the last kanji?

Attached: 1537479025924.jpg (146x260, 20K)

Or I can give you the quick rundown of what I think it is since I finally gathered my thoughts.
I think this can be broken down into 3 situations.
'Do you not' asks about something you specifically don't do, it asks about a negative.
'Don't you' asks about something that you specifically do actually do, it asks about a positive.
Then there's the 3rd situation, I don't know how to name it really but it's different than the above 2. I guess it's when the speaker doesn't know which one they want to ask. 'Do you not' and 'don't you' are not interchangeable in the above 2 situations since the speaker knows if they want to ask about something that exists/is a positive or something that doesn't exist/is a negative but in the 3rd one they are interchangeable, 'do you not' is just more formal, more serious, maybe even surprised at the negative while 'don't you' is more neutral, casual, implying that a positive in this case is something natural.

Do you not have a backpack? (speaker expects the person to have a backpack, but the person or context say otherwise)
Don't you have a computer or something? Just look it up on the internet. (speaker believes the person has a computer)

Do you not understand?
Don't you understand?

This 3rd situation is probably what will take years to decipher.

”神保会”
>the name of the 暴力団 indeed
tha kanji, in the pic, is the old form(旧字体) of "会" ("association", in this context? maybe).

Attached: kai.png (200x200, 2K)

>Do you not have a backpack?
I think this is the case I mentioned in >えっ寝"なかった"の?

>Don't you have a computer or something?
>コンピュータとか、持ってるよね?
thanks anyway, I'll incubate this question for a while..
