honestly how new are you, Jow Forums has a long history of people posting cp to /b/, it's still not uncommon to find some degen posting it even on the sfw boards every few months
if it makes you feel better imgur appears to have hired some manual moderators to remove the cp

it used to be a good and simple service to upload pictures so you could post them on forums, now forums are are basically dead (rip imdb) and they clogged the site with useless shit

do image hosts even useful for anything nowadays? most sites now let you upload the image direct to it

plus things like discord exist which let normies share files quickly
I've switched to using uguu.se (24hr image host) for small stuff, almost never need 'permanent' image uploads anymore
