Americans don't know how to ride a bicycle
Other urls found in this thread:
My grandpa rides across the state sometimes and my dad rides a lot, but I have no idea how to ride one
>tfw didn't know how to ride a bicycle until I turned 14
>all my countryside friends already got mopeds when I turned 14
;(
I learned how to ride the bike at 18
What's a bicycle?
how embarassing
it's like this thing but it moves forward when you pedal
>euros will never ride their bikes in the suburbs with their friends after school
But kids do that
When they're not at home playing fortnite ofc
where do you think BMX and skateboarding came from?
We literally have city and countryside bike routes, both naturalistic and landscape and artistic ones.
so do we
Who needs suburbs when you have bicycles paths going through the woods and shit
Living in a small town surrounded by little villages, you won't lack places to go with your bike
>american bike """"" roads"""""
I guess actual proper bicycle roads you can ride with anything would be communism.
I was born in EE and learned how to ride without training wheels in kindergarten despite living in apartments. My brother, who was born here in a house suburb in America, still doesn't know how to ride a bike. Fucking sad (and yeah he's fat too).
what's wrong with single track? Also we do have bike roads but they're boring, it's a fucking flat road
Except you have to drive 2 hours to get there, here you take your bike, ride 10 minutes and boom you're in nature
>Idaho
It takes me four hours to drive to drive to the nearest mountain
I live right next to a conservation area with bike trails
Then consider moving
Most americans don't.
It takes me 2 seconds to look out the window towards the nearest mountain
Most Americans live in similar conditions so you can't really make a blanket statement about Americans and their nature when most don't have easy access to the good stuff
You see all of those green areas? Those are places I can ride my bike. Why do you think we don't have places to go? I would think that it would be the opposite for densely populated euros where there is people everywhere.
>Why yes, the bicycle is my only mean of transportation. I don't even have a driver's license. What gave it away?
Maybe this applies for people living east of the Mississippi
densely populated area means smaller cities means easier access to nature
We have that too though
i'm talking about at a country scale. Your entire countries are packed with people.
i was always a bike whiz, learned real young and wanted to be dave mirra when i was 9/10 years old.
but i do run into people who dont know how to ride, like my gf. she mostly lived with her granda who sheltered her and didnt let her ride a bike around while living in chicago lol. lately ive been trying to teach her how to ride and it is pretty scary for her and she gets real pissed at me. she is comfy riding in straight lines in big empy parking lots, and once she looks like she has the hang of it ill tell her to folow me and we'l start going down a skinny sidewalk by the street and that is when she starts huffing and puffing. "what if people see me! im going to fall in the street! we have to go back to the parking lot pleasssee im not ready for the side walk x.x" her bike is a liiil too big for her though, and running into a tree pretty hard last time has got her intimidated, going to try again later today.
