For one, there's the historic enmity resulting from you guys always wanting to annex us (usually by force) even though we've always been German speaking and never wanted to be part of France. The last French occupation in the aftermath of WWII especially is still very prevalent in the minds of older people. (My grand-uncle for example as a kid was once beaten up by French soldiers for no apparent reason (at least that's what he always tells us, kek) and he has hated the French ever since.)
And then of course there's the more immediate reasons like French sex tourism, French coming to Saarbrücken to party and behaving like subhumans and the fact that cars with French license plates are always blocking the left lanes on the Autobahn, kek.

My ancestors (grandparents) come from former far-east Poland (so called "Kresy", current western Ukraine), Central-eastern Poland and Galicia. You may say the same about pretty much every citizen of Lower Silesia.

I would consider our local authority, considering the cards they have been dealt, to be among the best in britain due to what little connection we feel to our government and they still manage to maintain a decent standard of living across the islands
