but why

>teachers are overpaid!

Because teachers are "underpaid" so regular people have to pick up the slack

Tipping is the american version of taxes.

soon they will have to tip to breath oxygen

Attached: 717.jpg (600x539, 35K)

I've actually stopped tipping completely. The system is pure cancer.

you're doing the right thing imo. Its just a way for restaurant owners to evade taxes by paying their employees less.

>taking out your frustrations on poor people

waiters work for half the minimum wage, if you don't want to tip don't eat out you monster

Their employer will cover it, if they don't make minimum wage. Why do I literally have to pay for their wages ontop of the cost of the service?

why waiters are paid half the minimum wage tho ? are you third world ?

The whole point of tipping is to reward people that go the extra mile. If you're a large group or celebrating a birthday at a restaurant you tip here. You don't tip someone for just doing their job. They already get paid to do that.

Attached: c434f74f3e468c1cb5f908767e55fa65.jpg (900x1200, 168K)

the employer don't, sometimes tips are pooled but sometimes they are not, if they don't get tips they just don't get that money

it is unethical for you to know they aren't getting paid fairly and demand a service just because you ate there, either demand they get paid their fair share or just don't take advantage of being a customer

knowingly not tipping out of spite does nothing but sate your own thirst for cruelty

but they don't work the job to make minimum wage, and one dickhead refusing to tip is going to hurt them but it's not going to cause them to look for a different job because most people do tip

you're basically just making some college girl late on her rent payment

Yes

dol.gov/whd/state/tipped.htm

i don't understand, i thought america was a big country where people were making like 100k a year on average, why are you making your hard workers poorer than a former ussr comrade ?

dare i say it, based

Attached: 1541148745706.png (720x905, 137K)

why isn't there more backlash against tipping culture
How can americans accept being paid less than minimum wage and why is the customer supposed to make up the difference
This shit is seriously one of the strangest things about america

lmao
do they really???

you don't make 100k as a waiter then or now

It's the same argument as we can't ever increase the minimum wage because everyone will lose their jobs since they can't afford the higher wage.

if you keep tipping them nothing changes dumbfuck

neoliberalism

Oh my god
All you niggers are so dumb
If a waiter doesn't make at least minimum wage from tips, the employer legally has to make up the difference
They are just working a minimum wage job
there is zero reason to tip
You fucking cuckolds

STOP TIPPING

it's not a big of a deal as Jow Forums makes it out to be.

>Paying an extra 15-20% per visit is not a big deal

>if you can afford the food you can afford the tip

Attached: eagles-rookie-bill-640x767.jpg (1280x1533, 244K)

>the employer don't
It's illegal then, and they should take it up with their state's labor department. It's unethical for me not to tip, but not for the employer to take advantage of the worker & costumer?

>but they don't work the job to make minimum wage
Well too fucking bad

>It's unethical for me not to tip

no it is not, it is not up to you to subsidise and allow employers to get away with it

You're allowing employers to fuck over their employees by supporting a tipping industry

maybe not as a waiter but as an average job, and even if i know a waiter is low tier job the difference is absolutely massive

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE PAID HALF THE M-I-N-I-M-U-M WAGE FOR FUCK SAKE ?

It's not unless you're poor. If it was a big deal no american would do it.

you don't have to even go out to eat

Not all of us are shut ins like yourself m8

They are underpaid but the notion of tipping teachers isn't a thing.

That's moot because they never not make more than minimum wage

I was telling you you should tip your waiter, you mouthbreathing troglodyte. The jew restaurant owner gets paid regardless of whether or not you tip, but if you're still going out to eat at that place then you're not only supporting tipping culture, but you're shitting on somebody who is already not living in the lap of luxury.

Even waiters at nice expensive restaurants make pretty shit money and that's if they ARE getting 20% tips. Realistically they aren't.

it became shit decades ago

going out and eating turns the wheel of the economy, its why people in tokyo have almost non existent kitchens, why have people cook at home when they can contribute to the economy (and help keep the restaurants who have to deal with high overheads afloat)

That seems accurate.
If you don't tip at bars, bartenders will notice and remember. You'll always be served last, if at all.

because most people don't get paid enough for added value on all of the little things in their life like eating meals

people in tokyo have tiny kitchens but they're also thin and healthy and I don't think it's from eating out at every meal

>an anglo trying to give business advice
anglo business acumen is virtually non-existent

You are doing God's work. There is not fucking way a server is entitled to treat a customer like shit just because they didn't tip high enough. Restaurant. Owners should pay them a decent wage

Why doesn't america just pay their workers proper wages?
Aren't they supposed to be first world?

How much do they earn?

kek

What if I order just one drink, give him the exact amount down to the cent and say “aight fuck your tip buddy” before heading off with the drink in my hand

Meanwhile.

Reminder only housewives who do nothing besides bitch and nag all day watch these stupid shows
Then you're just being an edgy twat. I don't tip on anything requiring little effort like opening a beer though

thought you are poltard complaining about n word people on television but then I noticed the topic

No they're not.

where is this photo from. is that?

None of this means anything without cost of living

Yes, they are.

Not really.

It's really not a big deal, most servers make more money through tipping than they would with minimum wage. On a good night I've seen servers make $400 dollars and that wasn't at a posh restaurant either.

I really don't understand why europeans get their panties in a knot about the practice honestly. Servers are better paid than most of the working class

I mean , what's wrong with trying to teach children the Bible? It's a pretty important book in terms of it's influence on western history and morality.

How are you supposed to understand your surroundings if you know nothing about your own history?

The fires been burning since the world was turning.

Is that net or gross?

>participate
>waste your money
>don't participate
>only hurts the poor
This is a half measure. Eat rich people.

Public school teachers would have a better case for salary increases if they didn't produce such shitty results.

>this is a bad thing

They really aren't underpaid, you'd find people at McDonalds with more work ethic than lots of teachers

Here in Virginia they make a gross of around 45-60k$. The median gross salary in the US is around 55k$. However with teachers, there isn't opportunity to move up in salary, and it doesn't take into account cost of living. In Virginia, the northern area is next to Washington DC, where cost of living is high, and the median salary is about 80k$. Most states don't account for the disparity of location in the State. And schools are poorly funded where ever you go, so teachers/students have to pay for school supplies. Teachers usually end up paying around 200$-300$ for their class supplies, and students about 100$ per year. Some states have a shortage of teachers, because there's higher paying jobs elsewhere. Class sizes in my school ranged from 30-40 kids per class.

American schools are underfu-

Attached: expenditure.jpg (702x411, 42K)

Yes, the US is a vast land, where everyone under the age of 13-16 must attend school. If you're in a compact nation, you need less schools, less transportation, and you have an easier time accounting for everyone. If you live in a flyover state, you're going to have numerous schools with >200 students. Each school with a small amount students will, of course, have a greater cost per student than a larger school. Also the cost of living in the US is larger than most of all those countries on the list.
