As explain before, it's a lot less about mispronunciation and a lot more to do with legibility.
Anecdotally speaking, I can't remember foreign names at all. In every anime I watch, I always identify characters by their individual features rather than their names.

It's almost like an evolved beta response, like they have different impulses that separate them from alphas on an integral level, rather than just different learned behaviours.
The manly thing(s) to do would be to be angry about it even if he's powerless, and whether or not he's angry, just to brush it off because living well is the best revenge, don't feed the trolls, etc etc. That impulse and that action can be respected.

They are so ostentatiously and affectedly "cool as cucumbers" that it's less impressive or effective a reaction than failure to keep calm and sperging out, whether one ends up looking "cool" or not.
Maybe that's the deciding factor, that they don't live their emotions for their own selves, but as performative displays for extracting validation from other people.
