Why does Kazakhstan like turquoise so much?

There is a turquoise country out there, and nobody cares?

It is a nice color, sure, but did the population of Kazakhstan just decide to make it their nations colour? I mean, Kazakhstan is technically Islamic and the color of Islam is green, right?
