true, every American coming to Poland visits Auschwitz and that's what he remembers from Poland after 20 years - Polish death camp. Not Kraków, not Zakopane or anything, because he had seen plenty of such towns in Europe before, but exactly the camp. And then he tells his children - I've been to Poland and I've seen a Polish death camp. And that's the first thing people associate with Poland.

btw personally I think we should close down Auschwitz and bury it in the ground because it yields little financial profit while harms our international image very much
