If you had to choose an European country to move and work with a university degree in IT, or any other field too, which one would you choose?
I'm not asking this question exactly for myself, so just tell me which country would you choose and why.
Countries to work in Europe
Spain so I don’t have to work
Spain so I don't have to move
hmmm. i think i would choose serbia, their IT salaries are the highest in europe, just not too many jobs though so maybe not
>IT
I'd stay here
Netherlands or Ireland if I was forced to move
Kosovo

If I actually want to do work, probably the Netherlands, Scandinavia or Germany. They have pretty flexible labor laws.
If I just want to hang out and do nothing, France is great. Get hired by a company with 50 or more employees and it's almost impossible for them to fire you. Work for the railways and you're guaranteed a job for life and can retire stupidly early (compared to the already stupidly early retirement the French get by default).
Scotland, just because I love the Highlands.

What does IT mean for Europeans? IT here basically mean geek-squad tier technician. Is it the same as a software engineer or computer scientist? What courses do you take for IT?
I meant software engineer.
For me IT means basically anything with computers.
So if I was working on big data architecture would that be "IT" in Europe?
In Spain at least yes.
y-yikes. whats the pay like? im thinking of transferring from where I work now to Europe in the future. They have european offices so..
If you want a good work/life balance you can come here.
fpbp
I'd stay where I am because I'm living in the best place in my country. If I had been unfortunate to be born in Silesia or some other hellhole, I'd probably move to some seashore town in Estonia or Latvia.
>If you had to choose an European country to move and work with a university degree in IT
Probably Ireland. Good money and opportunity in tech
>or any other field too
Probably northern Italy or Switzerland. Better culture and geography as well as money outside of tech
>"computer scientist"
I have an MSc in CS but yikes and oof my dude
spen :3
mad because he didn't make it into FAANG+Microsoft
>with a university degree in IT
Definitely Netherlands. They are desperately looking for people in IT everywhere and English is the standard languages in some international companies.
*dabs on euros*
Italy
Best architecture
Best nature
Best language
Best wine
Best girls
Best history
etc
Weren't salaries in Italy lower than the European average?
>salaries are the only variable i care about
I don't give a shit about salaries.
Just don't come to Germany.
"Fachkräftemangel" is a fucking meme.
They simply don't want to pay enough.
