Anyone into collecting newspapers?
Anyone into collecting newspapers?
bump
Aren't you that Bharatbro who likes to collect money as well?
No, I hate the way newspapers feel
Yeah that’s me
I guess we have some old newspaper stored somewhere, containing some news relevant to family
Where do you get the money for these?
Neat hobbies
I have never spent a penny for a newspaper, all were free
post ur oldest piece faggot
nigga I'm new don't have anything past 2014
I love geology, i have a newspaper about a volcano right before it erupted
t. Hoarder
I also have some ash that i scooped up from my front yard when it blew
That’s cool
Don't papers disintegrate with time? They're made with the cheapest stuff.
I have nothing
Just keep them away from humidity and they'll be good for eternity. My library has 200 year old newspapers and they're as good as ever
That's neat, I have just been expanding my collection without an agenda. Anything that's cool and foreign goes in
>newspapers
No, we use something called toilet paper. But then again, we have toilets.
post ww2 material

Neat, didn’t know they had a different coat of arms
They were part of The Russian Empire until 1917
Post moar of anything
How many bucks you had to pay to obtain this coin?
I know but the crest is slightly different than the imperial russian gerb for finland
I paid for the value of silver in it ~$4
Love 20s USSR, don’t have more of it though
Jesus fucking Christ get a job ffs
Do you buy them on Ebay or somewhere else?
>collecting newspapers?
No. Nothing happens in my town and you can only buy a few different ones here..
I think the biggest news in the last few years was a British family moving here. Made the front page..
I got them all from coin shops in America
Bottom left one deserves a holder
Toiletpaper shortage in India?
I need to say that price is really low. I ususally buy pic related for 6-8 dollars (some newfags are even pays 10-15 dollars, becaus muh conditions). Did the price included shipping?
I got it from a shop so no need for shipping. Coin shops in America usually have a 'melt bin' where you have foreign silver coins which are sold for the price of their silver content. You can find wonders there, the 25 pennia from finland only costed me 50 cents
We have there very strict law on purchasing stuff from other countries. Especially, coins and various things that can be considered culturally valuable. Recently, one collector says me that collecting coins is semi-llegally here
Same problem in India, very hard to find foreign coins
What catalogue do you usually use? As far as i am collecting mostly russiann coin, i am using russian catalogues. For foreign coins i usually use Krause
I use numista for all coins, it has every coin and every detail plus you can register your collection
My grandmother does that but it's more of a hoarding thing. I'm not sure how we're going to clean out her house when she dies. I'm hoping we can just sell the land
Anyways for collectibles I have a pre-Castro Cuban passport, a bunch of matches with "WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE OSAMA BIN LADEN" on them and a few other things around that 9/11 era where people paranoid about anthrax, muslims and the beltway sniper that I plan on selling to the Smithsonian one day. Thanks blog
Yeah its sure a hoarding thing, pre-castro passport is neat, I might have a dozen or so cuban coins from 1920-1960. If I don't consider currency, other stuff I have is some national geographic magazines from the 40s and 50s, cold war era weaponry magazines and a business class kit from a long dead Indian airline
If you're still here, can you tell me why russians clean coins? I can clearly see wear and a ton of scratches on both sides of your coin because of cleaning. I have seen this with a lot of Russians, this is unacceptable in the west and significantly reduces the value of a coin
