all politics

Pledging allegiance to one semi-arbitrary group, then finding another one to blame all your problems on.

I hate hearing that Bernie can't win because he's a cis old white male.

I will move to Mexico after this country votes for a gay transgender disabled 35-year-old black/mexican woman.

it's when the jews make you believe you need to vote for their puppet because your skin is of certain complexion

So the Muslim world with all Jews?

You are a Nazi.

giving legal privileges depending on the group you belong to and not only for being a citizen

So like conservatives with liberals?

The idea that you can be proud of any identity except being a straight white male

When you appeal to identity rsther than economic self interest. It is extremely common in capitalist countries because it obscures class relations and facilitates class collaboration.

Ben Shapiro is a Zionist identitarian and is basically atheist (he has gone on record stating that Jewishness is dependent on ones support for the state of Israel rather than their religious beliefs.) He's more right wing that actual alt rightists but for some reason he gets a pass.

When you let nationalists rob you willingly out of any future because they are your people.

Politics is just people separating into factions and fighting. Sometime the factions are race, sometimes gender, sometimes class, and sometimes ideology. It's stupid to classify politics of race/gender identity politics because every political engagement is based on identity.

When your political opinions are basically "this person is an X so they believe in Y and they're wrong" or "I'm a Z so I'm right"

Defining your political opinions and views chiefly by virtue of your demographic identity like ethnicity, race, gender, religion. Elevating candidates based on their matching your or your preferred identity, lowering candidates because they are your disliked identity.

Not identity politics:
>I like Tulsi Gabbard because of her policies
>I dislike Biden because of his behavior
>I dislike gun ownership because of [various factors unrelated to identity]
>You support lower taxes because you feel it will fuel economic development, or because you will profit off it

Identity politics:
>I like Tulsi Gabbard because she is a Person of Color
>I dislike Biden because he is an old white male
>I dislike gun ownership because old white people like guns and they cannot be allowed to be happy
>You support lower taxes because you are a racist who wants to throw black people to the wolves
