Also some trivia: mayonnaise comes from Menorca. Its name in Spanish is "salsa mahonesa", i.e. Mahón sauce, Mahón being the Menorca town where it was created. In French it is "sauce mayonnaise" and the bongs got the "mayonnaise" name from French. Also the most lasting influence from the British occupation is gin production, Menorca still has a thriving gin industry, 3 centuries later.
