I just wrote down the whole russian alphabet i actually learned some real basic words like Cecтpa and had the idea of...
Why would anyone learn russian?
Ah yes, Cyrillic, a useless writing system in the west.
Ah yes, Russian, a useless language in the west.
looks cool
sounds beautiful
gorgeous women
interesting history
/
basically this where i live is almost impossible to find someone who actually know how to talk russian, and it could be the most easy way to impress some of thoses chicks and i like how your language sounds also to get a gf like pic related
Well done fren
Cyrillic is the perfect writing system for slav langueage
>language spoken by hundreds of millions of people with shitloads of original literature content
>useless
fuck off bydlo mutt
thanks
i thought it would be harder learning but now looking for it sounds pretty easy
And the White House where everyone speaks Russian
>shitloads of original literature
Most of the russian classic literature is just cuckoldry manual(allthough, well written). All about how life is pain and suffering, and that you should embrace this suffering, and that you should do nothing to either stop or prevent it.
And people wonder why are russians are so fucking passive.
Yet, many foreigners unironically learn our language, so they can read all this stuff in the original (with all this archaic words and phrases), when they could've picked up the translated version.
Poetry is better tho, less cucky, more emphasized around our national emotion, so called "tender sadness"
>looks cool
listing "cool lookin" as a reason to learn, bruh
>gorgeous women
Yes, we don't have many feminists here. But don't worry, we have just the right amount of turbothots to compensate for that.
>interesting history
FFFUCKING MUSCOVITIAN SCUM, NOVGOROD SHOULD HAVE WON (fuck Ivan the 3rd, fuck Ivan the 4th, *dabs*)
edgy
because cheeki breeki gopnik based slav :DDD
thats more or less why i started learning it at least, but even when i grew out of that phase i kept learning it for a bit because it was still more interesting to me than french or german, and also because i liked the people who i was learning it with
It's way better to read it in the original though. Also learning a new language is good for you in all sorts of ways. Useful for work too, especially Russian.
>it was still more interesting to me than french or german
imagine being that gay at the point of creatin interest of learning german
Based Novgorodboo
there's just no point, as i understand it you can stumble your way around germany without knowing german, but it's a lot harder in russia to do the same
post nice Russian poems
Пpoщaй, нeмытaя Poccия,
Cтpaнa paбoв, cтpaнa гocпoд,
И вы, мyндиpы гoлyбыe,
И ты, им пpeдaнный нapoд.
Быть мoжeт, зa cтeнoй Кaвкaзa
Coкpoюcь oт твoих пaшeй,
Oт их вceвидящeгo глaзa,
Oт их вcecлышaщих yшeй.
It's not edgy, бpaтaн, it's the essence of our being (perhaps you're to young to grasp, or maybe i'm just a fucking doomer).
>Also learning a new language is good for you in all sorts of ways
>learning a language solely for utilitarian reasons
Sounds like a waste of time (for the most part)
I can't even imagine how hard it is to learn russian for non-slavs. The best part: ask me to tell you some rule from russian language. Protip: i don't know any of them, since i spent a lot of time just reading books. Also rules make very bad effort to explain why we say some things the way we do, so all the rules come with at least some exception, as if our language wasn't complicated enough.
Things for other slavs: russian is the most distant from old slavic or church slavonic (ukrainian and belarussian are closer to polish, than they are to russian), so words like: "duzhe, ochi, krasno" are considered archaic. We use: "ochen', glaza, krasivo".
BRO
>post nice Russian poems

>Пpoщaй, нeмытaя Poccия
Not sure whetehr it is a genuine interest in our poetry, or just some classy trolling.
You're against utilitarian reasons
You're against romantic reasons
What other reasons are there? You just sound like a fucking retarded contrarian.
The reason most people learn languages are obviously majority utilitarian.
>I can't even imagine how hard it is to learn russian for non-slavs
Not that hard apparently since I know quite a few non-slav fluent Russian speakers.
>Not sure
Of course you aren't kek. You're even too dumb to see when a creature as dim-witted as a Pole is making fun of you lmao.
I meant purely utilitarian, as "learning a new language for the sake of learnin new lannguage (with slim hopes it will improve my thinking or some other shit)".
I was covertly pointing out that russian has nothing to offer (apart from cucky literature(ok-ok "War & Peace" is good, bcuz it's like Homer's "Oddysey" plays a role of a window to that particular time of history)).
Ahhh, shit, you folks totally got me. You magnificent bastards.
>I was covertly pointing out that russian has nothing to offer
Which is bullshit for a myriad of reasons. Not the least of which is the fact that Russian is a rich and beautiful language and a key to unlocking the treasure trove that is Russian culture and the Russian people.
And the literature is great.
My family speaks a lot of Russian. Literally the only reason I want to learn it. If they didn't speak Russian, I probably wouldn't care about it.
>I was covertly pointing out that russian has nothing to offer
made me think why would people try to learn portuguese as well
A lot of native speakers just take their language and what it can offer for granted sometimes. Russian is definitely one of the more useful and rewarding languages to learn.
He is a russophobe living in Russia. I hate such people for their jewishness.
>stating actual facts
reee rusophobe
None of what you said was a fact. You're spouting your own subjective opinions
