I used to think I was an autistic loser until I started my job. Every guy I work with is between the ages of like 17 and 30 and they still like pokemon and that's all they fucking talk about all shift. Or "nerd culture" in general meaning pokemon, digimon, yugioh, all shit you should have outgrown by 12 at the absolute latest.

I think if you go to college you will meet a lot of men with a less of a loser mindset. 3 years in a community college have expanded my social circle and quality of people I meet more than anything else. I'm nearing my 30s and if there's anything I can tell anyone younger is to not settle for their youth by wasting it away. Time waits nobody.

I am in university with one semester left. I still met a lot of neckbeards and didn't really feel like I fit in with the guys who acted more their age either because I was a bit of a loser in high school and the guys who were more acting their age in university are probably a lot of the same guys who excluded me in high school

Well at the end of the day, you are the same as the crowds you happen to attract. If you wish to change that, you have to open up more and find circles of people who, most likely, were the popular kids in highschool. For what it's worth, nobody had good time in highschool, and college is a lot different, people are genuinely open-minded and a lot nicer. Eventually you will have to put yourself out there if you want to see things change for yourself. Remember you are the only one responsible for the way you experience life.
I reckon people get more in touch with their youth in their late teens/early 20s because once you get out of high school where everyone judges you for your interests, it's refreshing to be able to open up about that stuff in a new environment but at 30? fucking hell
