The United States has some of the worst health outcomes in the developed world. We have a comparatively high maternal mortality rate, a high level of hospitalizations for preventable diseases, and a comparatively high level of deaths that could have been avoided with proper treatment. Its just an all around shit system.

That's even worse. VA is really hit or miss. Some sites are good, and others basically just deny vets care because they can't fit them in. VA care is notoriously awful in the US, hence why there's a push towards vets getting private care
