>its safe because all the beaners are afraid of getting deported if they break the law
wtf I love mexicans now
Depends on the town. I can personally verify that Calexico, California is kind of a shithole. Mexicali is actually better in a lot of ways.
>is it dangerous? is there a lot of smuggling, illegal immigration, other crimes?
Sounds just like the rest of the other US cities
El Paso is pretty safe. It's also unironically, no exaggerating, for all practical purposes, Mexican. The population is over 80% Mexican, the fucking town's name is in Spanish, everyone fucking speaks Spanish, the cops are Mexican, etc. The only thing keeping Mexico from annexing it out of convenience is the federal government and the rest of Texas.
Whenever a movie character is from El Paso he has a mustache, wears a cowboy hat and has a Texas accent, also white.
the funny thing is México deports more foreigners than America itself
interesting, I didn't expect it, thanks
that's pretty racist of you
why doesn't mexico appreciate diversity?
What's funny about it? We have been doing that on America's behalf for decades now. Obviously, because they asked.
I noticed the towns at the border often have fences around the houses, something rather uncommon in other parts of the country, so I thought it was because of crimes or illegal encroaching on someone's property.
That's because Mexicans live in those houses
Yeah I don't know why they do that.
Maybe ''funny'' was too harsh, I meant to say interesting, not many people know that
do you imply building fences is an imminent part of Mexican culture?
Many people know that. Fox News parrots it non-stop 24/7 as if Mexico was a hypocrite for directly following America's orders literally at gun point
Yes.
Their wikipedia also states that El Paso has a very strong federal presence so perhaps the US outsmarted the Mexicans by flooding the town with federal stuff to keep them from getting uppity
???
Fences are common here. Except it's usually picket fences. They probably use those because they're cheaper.
I'm convinced they do it because otherwise they feel like they've lost the city.
That's a common Southwestern US thing in general
you can see how big the economic gap between the US and Mexico is, Mexican bordertowns look already very poor
>Fences are common here.
Most of American suburbs don't have them, at least that's what I can see on GSV

It's just a thing in the Southwest. People like their property lines well marked.
hmmm
