i got a t440s for 190$, condition is amazing and so is battery life

without a gpu, it can decently run games on low-medium settings. with my gtx 970 attached i can get high fps mid to high settings. i bought my gtx 970 for 180 off ebay. this method is way better than building your own pc since thinkpad are extremly cheap for their high performance

Thinkpad T460s for like €350 which was a fucking steal. And desktop is frankenstein shit I smacked together over the years with i5-4690 and GTX 1060

also sometimes i attach my thinkpad to tv with a vga to hdmi converter and watch 4k movies without a spending a penny

i got a laptop recently after not having a computer for like 9 years. i had and old emachine from the early 2000s lol. man i love this laptop. basicallydue to my life being weird, i dont want to have many possessions, if i had to move all id need is a travel suitcase and it is kind of liberating. for a long time i kept moving around and had to get storage units and big trucks to haul furniture, big tv, consoles,etc everywhere. but now i own just clothes, a laptop, nic headphones and some toiletries. i have my other stuff packed away nicely in a safe location and ill go retrieve it if i end up moving to a decent sized place that i know ill end up living at for years. and at this point, even though alot of that stuff is nostalgic and sentimental to me, if i had to abandon it it wouldnt hurt so bad. when i move the first thing i buy is a bed because fuck hauling a bed everywhere. but yeah, it'd be great to have a badass gaming pc with a good sound system and big ass monitor, but my laptop can run most games really well except for recent last 5/6 years kind of stuff, so im satisfied with just that for now
