I have a positive feeling towards Russia, the people, the culture, language, history, food. Obviously I realize that there is a lot of misery and shit there, a lot of poverty, and that while Western foreigners may laugh at the memes and almost glorify the place, earning peanuts and living in some Soviet era building block can't be fun.

I was legit googling now how to begin learning the language when I found this thread. I would like to at least reach A2 level and then visit the country.
