Why don't these two countries get rid of all trade barriers and borders between each other, with a longterm view to becoming one country?

>American corporate worship, corruption and healthcare system

No thanks, bud.

For everyone's sake we'd need to trick the south into seceding first

>2 million Canucks in the USA
>At one point nearly 30% of Canada crossed over to live here in the early 1900's
Yeah, you guys sure hate living here lol

9/11 unironically

Let's be honest bud. We just like pretending to be superior to Americans, but we all run for the opportunity to live there whenever possible.

How important is parliamentary democracy to the average Canadian? Has yours been Americanised, as ours is in the process of being, to be more about candidates and personalities than party policy?

explain

The US will never agree to free movement across the border because of potential security threats. Coming in from Canada was much easier before 9/11.

because the border is necessary to keep out guns and illegal immigrants from entering Canada. trade barriers because as much as we proclaim to be free enterprise and no government subsidies, we both fucking regulate and subsidize the fuck out of our agriculture sectors. we can't stop the handouts or the farmers chimp out. and finally, no, we don't want to become part of the USA, the laws, politics, culture and mindsets are too different.

>we both fucking regulate and subsidize the fuck out of our agriculture sectors.
Don't you also have retarded cross province tariffs and shit? I just know there is something dumb about trade in Canada between provinces

yes, there are laws governing alcohol between provinces and stuff. you guys have interstate alcohol laws too and stuff right?

Canada is an artificial failed state proper up by the British as a puppet nation, and I refuse to recognize its sovereignty. The true Manifest Destiny does not end at the Pacific Ocean, rather in the Arctic Circle. The land of the leafs is rightful American territory and it is our duty to tame it. For now, we must maintain a strong and closed boarder to prevent any maple syrup from seeping onto our land. The Day of the Rake will not be a be seen as a day of military conquest and extermination, but rather a day of the US properly readjusting our boarder north and bulldozing whatever is currently in the way.

By the time you guys muster enough testosterone you’ll just be mexico2.0.

because hockey players are violent

KEK

Like half my ancestors came from Canada lol

I can smell the syrup, even in San Diego.

Our government actually is more a slave to corporations.

we can barely prop up our own state lmao

Cause neither cunt wants to unify

bullshit, everybody here in WA wants to become a canadian province

and most cross border shopping is Can->America. Even when we were on parity with the USD prices barely shifted much.

Similar to how South Korea is doomed to deal with the mistake of China and Russia in creating North Korea, the occupation of the land of the leafs is an unfortunate burden that Americans must bare, inflicted upon us by the British. Once the land is tamed, we expect full compensation for the British crimes against humanity.

Washington is a prime example of a young State full of hope and potential, thrown away by the invasion of the leafs. The disproportionately high amounts of homeless in Seattle can be directly attributed to the high concentration of sap in that city. Seattle must be burnt to the ground to prevent further infestation of the rest of the United States. If the leafs try to claim a single square inch of Washington State as their own territory (the leafs have had their eyes on Point Roberts for decades now), it will be seen as a direct act of aggression which their failed state will be responsible for and we will respond with military action.

>How important is parliamentary democracy to the average Canadian?
Not at all. The average Canadian does not care whatsoever about preserving a parliamentary government at all.

The only big difference is the healthcare systems and we'll likely have a universal one in the next decade. I've been up to Canada multiple times and never noticed any substantial differences other than prices at stores.

It’s a lot harder to get into the US from Canada than the reverse. The Canadian border is hilariously lax.

That's because Canada hasn't changed, we have.

>the laws, politics, culture and mindsets are too different
Lmao

sorry dude, we don't want to be part of america. don't be the creepy dude that asks why won't someone date them. move on.

that's besides the point. our guns are tightly regulated here so we need the border to stop the inflow of weapons here and the fact that there are more illegal immigrants in america means we need to be vigilant on them coming up to Canada as well.

I never said that, I’m laughing at your statement that America and Canada are meaningfully different from each other culturally. You and I both know that’s utterly false outside of Quebec and Newfoundland.

just become a US colony and slowly let in each province/region when both parties vote for it

we are. our political systems are different and legal systems. culturally we share similarities, but again, our mindsets are different. if you homogenize the entire american experience and not just the states closest to america, there is a real difference in culture. you have the bible belt, rust belt, evangelists. imagine that, half your country has the culture and mindset to elect a orange man whereas we elected a sjw.

>we are. our political systems are different and legal systems
This is utterly meaningless to the average Canadian. Canadians unironically don’t care at all about their government.

You're flailing, bud. It's time to stop posting.

68% of eligible voters cast their votes in Canada. 42% of eligible voters cast their votes in America. we do care and it's important.

I live 30 minutes from Canada and 8/10 of Canucks I’ve talked to voted for Trudeau because either he’s handsome (the women) or they heard of his dad (the men). You can lie all you want but it’s just for your internet friends on Jow Forums.

right, because your personal experiences really does extrapolate to the other 17million eligible voters in Canada. are you dumb? because you're very convincing.

Your English suggests to me that it’s not exactly your first language, so I can see why you’re taking this position. More Canadians vote because their politics matter so little they don’t need to think about who to vote for.

Do you even know what point you're trying to make anymore?

I’m saying meme Canadian pariots like you don’t actually exist in real life.

what the fuck? what part of my english is not correct? perhaps it's your reading comprehension? holy fuck.

>>More Canadians vote because their politics matter so little they don’t need to think about who to vote for.

this fucking cope, your entire argument rests on a personal experience that you've somehow extrapolated to the general eligible voter populace. it's settled, you're not dumb. you are certifiably retarded.

Well you have been proven wrong. Why do you keep chasing this?

Your capitalization and prose are really shitty, it looks like how a non-native speaker writes English.

i'm not capitalizing because this is a fucking image board not a thesis submission you fucking retard. this is a informal setting and i could careless about the grammar than getting the idea across. and apparently you are so vapid in your argument you're not answering the crux of the discussion and instead deflecting to the 'OMG YOU'RE SPELLLING ISH BAD, ARGUMENT INNVALID!@#1'.

It will never not amuse me when Anglo Canadians try to act like the two countries are vastly different, while trying to stay on some sort of moral high ground. It's not different, and it never will be. The two countries will never merge, and you may dislike the US, but let's not try to bend reality too much, eh?
