The Dero Debate

Enough is enough.

For months now, this project has been viciously attacked from all angles from both hodlers of projects that are in competition and trolls that just want to bandwagon for easy (You)s. The FUD has been anywhere from completely absurd, blown out of proportion claims to people who will sit in a thread for 10+ hours lying. The trolling has gotten to a point where haters of Dero will deliberately post Dero in every Monero, Enigma, and DAG thread they see in hopes of causing more hatred even though hodlers of Dero openly support all of those projects and hope they are successful.

Therefore, I want to have a serious debate with those who dislike the platform or even those who just want answers. These are the topics of discussion I would like to cover as they are the source of the majority of this project's FUD:

- Technology
- Premine
- Dev anonymity
- New exchanges
- Community sentiment

More topics can be discussed, but there are the primary ones I would like to have an honest, open debate with. If you reply to this thread with a troll response (such as a "drive-by" comment not intended to ever receive an answer), I will completely ignore it. I'm looking for people who want to prove that Dero will not be successful and for people who just want to learn more about the project in general.

I hold some DERO but I dislike how there's barely any updates or marketing going on, other than that this is one of my long holds that I scale into on a regular basis so idrc in the long term.

I agree. Marketing has been confirmed to not be starting until the smart contracts have been completed, and smart contracts are not expected to be out until December 2018 (end of Q4). However, Atlantis wasn't supposed to come out until March 2019, so it's possible the smart contracts can be completed before then. Until then, those in the DCAB are working on marketing strategies to implement when Dero's smart contract are at least in the publicly testing phase, such as:

- A community-created professional introduction video to introduce newcomers to the project
- Linking with high-profile contacts in China who are huge supporters of the project
- Taking polls of the communities across the various platforms to formulate areas to market to

Also, there is currently a website update being worked on. It was completed, but the DCAB found it not up to standards, so they're redoing it. The website is expected to be almost like a WIKI filled with tons of information about the project, an updated roadmap, updated whitepaper, etc. I hope they get the website finished soon.

As far as updated go, the very next thing that is being worked on by the Dero team is the smart contracts. Until it gets into the testing stage, we probably won't get many updates until then.

This thing is completely centralized.

If they become more transparent regarding the team members/development they could even try applying to Binance, you never know.

>says the guy who listed ByteCoin and Sky

>Anonymous Developers
>2 million coin premine
No thanks

It's crap.
I needed no reasons other than the constant shilling.

They have opted to not reveal their identities until the Foundation is fully formed. You cannot have a Foundation without revealing your identities. Could they back out of the Formation creation? Yes, but who does that benefit? Absolutely nobody. In fact, it would kill their project almost immediately if they said they weren't following through with their promise to form a Foundation and opted to remain anonymous. However, why would a group of people who have advanced knowledge in coding spend 8+ months working on a project just to back out of it when their project coin's value is at an ATL? If they were scamming, they could have dumped the entire premine when Dero was at $4 and then rode off into the sunset. They could have kept the source code a secret, made up a fake website, and overhyped their project to no end, but they instead choose to not do any advertising. If Dero is a scam, it is the worst scam ever conceived since not only have the devs not exit scammed yet but they have delivered physical, tangible technology that has never been done in the cryptosphere to date.

I was going to ignore this, but I am legitimately interested in what you consider "constant shilling." Dero hasn't even had a single thread on Jow Forums in nearly a week, yet you call it constant shilling, yet there are 10 Chainlink threads on Jow Forums right now being spammed by their Discord server, yet you don't seem to have a single comment on that?

I own 1k for suicide insurance, so I'm not that invested in the coin, but I will say this thing gets a LOT of hate. I think it's mostly people who are concerned that Dero could take away from their coins marketcap so they want to try and kill it while it's still in the cradle, which I can understand. I mean I already know people shouting "scam" aren't doing it for moral reasons, this is Jow Forums people here are trying to make money and laugh at the people who they made it from.
