For months now, this project has been viciously attacked from all angles from both hodlers of projects that are in competition and trolls that just want to bandwagon for easy (You)s. The FUD has been anywhere from completely absurd, blown out of proportion claims to people who will sit in a thread for 10+ hours lying. The trolling has gotten to a point where haters of Dero will deliberately post Dero in every Monero, Enigma, and DAG thread they see in hopes of causing more hatred even though hodlers of Dero openly support all of those projects and hope they are successful.
Therefore, I want to have a serious debate with those who dislike the platform or even those who just want answers. These are the topics of discussion I would like to cover as they are the source of the majority of this project's FUD:
- Technology - Premine - Dev anonymity - New exchanges - Community sentiment
More topics can be discussed, but there are the primary ones I would like to have an honest, open debate with. If you reply to this thread with a troll response (such as a "drive-by" comment not intended to ever receive an answer), I will completely ignore it. I'm looking for people who want to prove that Dero will not be successful and for people who just want to learn more about the project in general.
I hold some DERO but I dislike how there's barely any updates or marketing going on, other than that this is one of my long holds that I scale into on a regular basis so idrc in the long term.
Aaron Edwards
I agree. Marketing has been confirmed to not be starting until the smart contracts have been completed, and smart contracts are not expected to be out until December 2018 (end of Q4). However, Atlantis wasn't supposed to come out until March 2019, so it's possible the smart contracts can be completed before then. Until then, those in the DCAB are working on marketing strategies to implement when Dero's smart contract are at least in the publicly testing phase, such as:
- A community-created professional introduction video to introduce newcomers to the project - Linking with high-profile contacts in China who are huge supporters of the project - Taking polls of the communities across the various platforms to formulate areas to market to
Also, there is currently a website update being worked on. It was completed, but the DCAB found it not up to standards, so they're redoing it. The website is expected to be almost like a WIKI filled with tons of information about the project, an updated roadmap, updated whitepaper, etc. I hope they get the website finished soon.
As far as updated go, the very next thing that is being worked on by the Dero team is the smart contracts. Until it gets into the testing stage, we probably won't get many updates until then.

This thing is completely centralized.
Brody Phillips
If they become more transparent regarding the team members/development they could even try applying to Binance, you never know.
>Anonymous Developers >2 million coin premine No thanks
Julian Phillips
It's crap. I needed no reasons other than the constant shilling.
Chase Harris
They have opted to not reveal their identities until the Foundation is fully formed. You cannot have a Foundation without revealing your identities. Could they back out of the Formation creation? Yes, but who does that benefit? Absolutely nobody. In fact, it would kill their project almost immediately if they said they weren't following through with their promise to form a Foundation and opted to remain anonymous. However, why would a group of people who have advanced knowledge in coding spend 8+ months working on a project just to back out of it when their project coin's value is at an ATL? If they were scamming, they could have dumped the entire premine when Dero was at $4 and then rode off into the sunset. They could have kept the source code a secret, made up a fake website, and overhyped their project to no end, but they instead choose to not do any advertising. If Dero is a scam, it is the worst scam ever conceived since not only have the devs not exit scammed yet but they have delivered physical, tangible technology that has never been done in the cryptosphere to date.
I was going to ignore this, but I am legitimately interested in what you consider "constant shilling." Dero hasn't even had a single thread on Jow Forums in nearly a week, yet you call it constant shilling, yet there are 10 Chainlink threads on Jow Forums right now being spammed by their Discord server, yet you don't seem to have a single comment on that?
Nathaniel Sanders
I own 1k for suicide insurance, so I'm not that invested in the coin, but I will say this thing gets a LOT of hate. I think it's mostly people who are concerned that Dero could take away from their coins marketcap so they want to try and kill it while it's still in the cradle, which I can understand. I mean I already know people shouting "scam" aren't doing it for moral reasons, this is Jow Forums people here are trying to make money and laugh at the people who they made it from.
Dominic Evans
I have been on Jow Forums for over 2 years now, and I have seen more rancid vitriol hurled at this project than any other. I don't mind those who are trolling for attention or those who are FUDDING the project to bring the price down or save their own coin's marketcaps, but there are those out there that have a obsessive interest with wanting the project to fail, and this desire doesn't come from logic or reasoning but a broken mindset of misinformed information and undeterred hatred.
Crypto isn't a one-sum game. You can own Dero, Monero, Enigma, and Chainlink all at the same time. It's almost as if some of the people hating Dero have a vested interest in watching the project fail for personal reasons.

Those must be some really heavy bags pajeet
Aaron Ramirez
>implies there's even a debate as to whether or not this project's an absolute scam.
Landon Lee
>Enough is enough. I literally stopped reading at that sentence. How does that make you feel?
Gavin Diaz
You should forget about Jow Forums and have more faith in the tech.
When time will come they gonna regret.
Jack Gomez
This faith-based shit is exactly what the stupid people of biz want you "believe".
The reality is that Perlin and IOTA are poised to become more impactful with the DAG tech, and you're fuckin blind if you don't see that.
Noah King
Welp i did held some dero cause i have some left to spare around.
Ayden Stewart
Idgaf about DERO. I do care about the obnoxious bag holding autists and pajeets that barge into every monero thread though. Rude and obnoxious
Grayson Gutierrez
Also, requesting somebody makes a "has anyone seen DERO" meme, because you cunts literally blast into every privacy coin thread like pic related
From my experience it's been to opposite, I'm still in awe of the Dero thread that last three days because people just spammed scam over and over again. I'm not a Dero whale by any means so I don't have much to lose, but Dero does get quite the unfair rap.
Zachary Walker
I cant imagine anyone is threatened by a coin that has less usd daily volume than i keep in my checking account. I'd imagine they're only doing it in response to the aforementioned thread crashing. Who knows though, I cant speak for the irrational actions of others
James Martin
IOTA has issue like 33% attack and it's centralized for now, Nano has no fee and centralized too.
Dero is the only one currenlty build with the Satoshi Vision in the mind.
Liam Allen
>satoshi vision >ran 4 months without public code, only binaries being released >now, code isn't open source for anyone, but copyrighted >all the huge 10% premine is unlocked in just one wallet completely availible for the user dev >95% of global hash rate (which is composed only by ASIC miners) is in just one single pool >satoshi vision KEK
.42 cents? Let me buy 1k Dero off TO just in case this recent did is from a group trying to accumulate at low price. What if it gets to $10 by next year? Is there a good wallet out for dero?
Cameron Rogers
Hello Dero shills. How does it feel to have asics mining your coin down to 1 satoshi while your captain runs off with the premine? Nice bags you got there.
Evan Nguyen
Is this going to be another instance where butthurt Monero bagholders spam a Dero thread for 3 days straight saying "scam" over and over again? I'm going to be honest, I didn't even care about Dero until you guys started your crap, and when I went off and did my own research, I realized how legit this project really was and how all this spam is scared Monero holders freaking out.
Grayson Scott
I can't speak to others but I don't hold any Monero. Dero is supposed to be a dag, so I'm not sure how Monero would be affected, other than some stolen code.
Jace Turner
Dero is a BlockDAG. It's the only project out there right now that actually has a working BlockDAG. The closest any other project right now is to it is DAGlabs, and their BlockDAG is currently slated to be out by March 2019.
If there are any other crypto projects working on implementing a BlockDAG, I would love hear about it.
Jaxon White
I think RChain (RHOC) will use one : > BlockDAG + Smart Contract ( Mainnet December 2018.)
Juan Ramirez
SCAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!
Josiah Butler
If you were in DERO last month and witnessed the shitstorm that ensued before everyone panic sold and tanked the price, you'd know to stay the fuck away. DERO = literally one guy coding occasionally in his bedroom.
Ryder Wright
Does it have privacy? I looked it up on CMC and saw that, at its peak, it reached a $913M marketcap, with it sitting at a $140M marketcap right now. I hope they follow through with their plans since it looks like a pretty good project.
What panic sell? All altcoins fell down 70-95% in this current bear market. Also, if you had any idea how complicated coding a BlockDAG is, you'd understand how retarded you sound.
Jonathan Rogers
>DERO = literally one guy coding occasionally in his bedroom. You don't correctly estimate the dedication it takes to do that. Regards bedroom coder
Joshua Gutierrez
RChain : no privacy.in the roadmap.
> Bitcoin first deamon was a team of 3 devs. > Dero is a team of 3 devs. > Muh bedroom coder...
Even if Dero Team was only 1 coder doing better that 99% of devs in cryptoworld in less than one year... you are still complaining.
GUI wallet came out recently and tx's are very fast.
Gabriel Anderson
I'm not even worried about this being a scam. If Captain wanted to dump his premine he would've done it when dero was $4, he would've never rewrote everything in golang, there'd be no talks of a foundation or brand new website etc. Weak FUD, stay poor.
