Eurotrash fantasy of how the states would Balkanize is hilarious.
There is no longer any economic, strategic pr cultural reason that Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Mid West of the Mississippi basin, all the way to the Rockies, would stay separate.
Maybe the West Coast, and the Texas Ok Arizona New Mexico and Nevada area also becomes its own country. But the East Coast would get swallowed up in the mountainous, river valley.
And then its just the USA minus spicland.
