And it's fucking dangerous there, one day we decide to night walk from restaurant back to our hotel, cca 4km walk, get little lost and we were basically escorted by police back to the hotel. The one thing that has changed is that people don't get mugged as often in LA.

It's probably one of the most beautiful states I've seen, and people there seem to be very laid back compared to people further East.
That being said, there's some serious issues. Parts of LA have terrible air quality and crime issues. The cost of living in Californian cities is quite high. San Francisco has a lot of homeless people.
