magicka de spell exists to be raped by big duck dick

>magicka de spell
man, that name sounds so wrong in English

I know.. magica de hex masterrace

I've been stuck on accusative case for almost a week now because I keep messing up plural and singular forms. It's so fucking frustrating.

What lang?

Czech. Similarities with Russian constantly throw me off.

Anyone else here learning Dutch? What languages do you guys already know?

did you know scandinavians have their own pan scandinavian language called skandimál which is a mix between the scandinavian languages and designed as to not be google translatable to keep scandi secrets away from prying eyes

Attached: skandimal.png (1392x532, 87K)

Not very effective then since I understood all of that.

Oh shit that's cool. Wonder if it will one day evolve into it's own language just because some dudes on Jow Forums didn't want others to know they were discussing loli porn.

Both are good, but if you use salirà then it should be "Salirà sul treno"

No mistakes, just a few suggestions
In everyday talk, instead of "deridere" you can use the expressions "non prendere in giro" or "non prendere per il culo" (this one is more vulgar)
"capisci?" at the end sounds like you're actually trying to make the listener understand something, if you want it to sound like a warning it's better to say "capito?"

"e tu?"

"come lo sapevi?" or "come facevi a saperlo?"

Long live /lang/!

all of Jow Forums is dead at this time desu

I have the lyrics for "In de Hemel is geen bier" stuck in my head is that's your angle.

Do any of you know of any ideographic writing systems? Unnatural or not.

Attached: 1561818725124.jpg (374x378, 40K)

I'm learning Dutch. I know German and English so it's kinda easy mode for me. I also know Polish.

Attached: hallo waar zijn de hagelslag.png (255x228, 7K)

What would constitute a natural ideographic writing system?

Something like this. I would use this but the guy that made it has only released 1000 of the 8000 symbols.

Why does no one want to learn any languages?

Too much effort especially if you can already speak English which everyone else speaks

That's interesting, I'm learning Polish and Serbo-Croatian and cases are basically the one thing I don't confuse between the two

>Scots? You mean a dialect of English. Hehehehe.

learning German right now (mostly through lyrics of Rammstein)
I've started memorising vocabulary and that's about it so very noob stage.
What are some good resources ? I won't quit since I really like the language and have experience learning languages (Russian native, English second and have a good way around phonetics and alphabet of most languages), German seems pretty easy for me now desu... I guess I just haven't encountered any significant barriers while reading newspapers n such

Hi,

New and not very skilled so I know I'm going to be called an idiot for asking this but, in the torrent thread mentioned there, what are those "magnet" things? How do I use that?

Also, learning french from scratch. Yay~

That isn't possible. Japanese learning will take years.

That's not Scots. That's Norf.

Scots speakers are the most bullied people on Jow Forums. Everywhere we go everyone replies that Scots either doesn't exist or is a dialect of English. And when they admit it exist the replies are always like this; "aye, we go aboot punching you in the heid, mate". Could you please stop this as we are hated minority in our country, where if you speak Scots you are called Scum.
It's already bad enough Scots is basically extinct in Scotland so Why do you keep bullying us?

You need to find the add torrent from url tab in your torrent client. In μTorrent its the chain symbol next to the plus located over the list of torrents.

Why does no one learn Hindi?

For what purpose

Maintenant je suis en train d'apprendre grenouillais.
Adesso sto imparando la lingua di pasta.

Lack of interest in Indian culture for most people on 4chins because we generally don't hear much about India other than POO POO XD coupled with the fact that it isn't an international lingua france like Chinese or Spanish.

Learning Chinese.

"With Duolingo, you’ll start speaking Japanese and reading its three writing systems (yes, even Kanji)." - Duolingo

Is this true?

Duolingo has been thoroughly disappointing at almost every stage. So many features they've promised but not added, so many languages they said are 'just weeks away!'. Don't believe a word they say.

Thanks.

Don't believe anything this green cunt says
Duolingo is only good to keep your skills fresh

we're in the same boat my fellow turknon

>Poszedłem do parku.
>Oni podróżowali do Anglii.
>Poszła do sklepu.
All correct!
>On będzie wsiąść do pociągu.
On wsiądzie do pociągu. If you wanted to say "He will be getting on the train", it'd be "On będzie wsiadać..."

>Chłopak mojej żony jest bardzo przyjacielska ze mną.
...jest wobec mnie bardzo przyjacielski.
>Hej, proszę, nie wyśmiewać Nintendo, rozumiesz?
No need for the comma after proszę, otherwise correct.
>Nie mogę się doczekać, żeby zobaczyć nowy film Gwiezdnej Wojen, czy możesz?
"Zobaczyć" is fine, but most people would say "obejrzeć" here. "Czy możesz?" doesn't work here, simply "a ty?" would be best.
>Jestem dumnym mężem mojej żony i dumnym ojczymem syna mojej żony.
Perfect!

>Ależ tak, przeglądam publicznie 4channel na moim Thinkpad X230, skąd wiedziałeś?
Yes!
>Poczekaj sekundę brachu, muszę tylko skończyć moją dobrze napisaną odpowiedź dla tego uporczywego shitposter (?) po pierwsze.
...I think I would say "trolla". Instead of "po pierwsze", use "najpierw" and put it earlier in the sentence.
>Nie martw się brachu, w morzu jest mnóstwo ryb, znajdziesz dziewczynę następnym razem brachu.
Yes. I'd consider adding a comma before the second "brachu".
>Reddit? Nigdy nie słyszałem o tej stronie brachu. Ja osobiście chodzę często do /n/ za moją dzienną dawkę fotografii kolejowej.
It'd be "...wchodzę często na /n/ po moją...", otherwise perfect!

That's what I'm seeing here.

Attached: worst_girl.png (888x1299, 710K)

Dziękuję! Czy to też jest poprawne?
>Zrobiłem to po polsku w ostatnim wątku, czy każdy Polak chce spojrzeć i poprawić to.

>każdy
This changes the meaning to "...if every Pole...". Your should use "jakiś" or "któryś".
Your Polish is really good! How long have you been learning?

Was watching a Swiss short movie with German subtitles, and stubled upon this line

>Ihr seid so versaut, was läuft mich euch?

What is the correct translation of this?

>Your Polish is really good! How long have you been learning?
3 months more or less. To be fair, I'm looking up words in the dictionary a lot for these challenges.

>Ihr seid so versaut, was läuft mich euch?
I think it should be "was läuft mit euch?" cause otherwise it doesn't make sense
It means "You [pl.] are so perverted, what is going on with you?"
"Versaut" means smutty, lewd, dirty etc. It comes from "Sau" which simply means female pig (sow)

Danke schön

Yeh, I've done one lesson on duolingo. I reckon it'll take a few weeks before I can read the news

Where are those good old-fashioned valves on which we used to rely?
Old-fashioned? That's gotta be a yikes from me. It's obvious to me that you're just a no good misogynist incel who should have sex.
Many Flemings lost their heads at that time, namely because they cannot say 'bread' and 'cheese', but 'case' and 'brode'.

Apparently "я хoчy им пoдoбpaть cлoвa" is a dative case sentence. I would like for someone to break down how this is so, which noun here is supposed to be the indirect object (this sentence matches none of the explanations I can find online) and why I am not putting the dative case ending for "cлoвa"

And just to be clear that I'm kind of serious, I got two different results on two different websites for what "cpeдний ввepх пoкaзывaю жecтaми" was supposed to mean so I've retranslated it as "halfway up I'm showing the gestures". Is this correct?

in case anybody else wants to help, a literation of the first sentence is "i want them (to) give names", with "им" being the dative case "them"

You just answered your own question. The pronoun is in the dative case.

yeah but HOW?? is it the indirect object or the direct object?

Gie laldie.

Scots looks similar to Dutch.

Also why is /lang/ only me posting about Scots?

Indirect, as is usually the case with the dative case. 'Slova' is the direct object.

>Mary gave them [indirect object, oblique case of 'they', would be called dative if English had cases] a book [direct object, would be accusative if English had cases].

The thing or the person that receives something is usually the indirect object in the dative case, be it a noun or a pronoun. Think of the word 'dative' itself: it comes from the root meaning 'give' like in Russian 'dat''.

>Give to who? To the indirect object.
>Give them what? The direct object.

Hope that helped.

Yes thank you very much, but you see in your own typing you say
>give to who? the indirect object
But they're not being given anything. Unless they are being given the want by the subject (I or я)? But that doesn't match since they're not being given names, they're expecting names being given from them. I can see how slova would be the direct object but it's just not fitting the dictionary definition of dative case in my head

Are you sure you got the meaning of the sentence correctly? I don't that that means what you think it does. Did you want to say 'I want to give them names'? I am pretty sure that 'I want to give them names' would be 'Ya khochu im dat' imena' or something along those lines. In that case it would be exactly as I said:
>Ya ['I', subject] khochu ['wish'] im ['to them', dative case, because they are receiving names in a sense] dat' ['to give'] imena ['names', direct object in the accusative, the thing they are being given].

If you really wanted to say 'I want them to give names [to someone]' then you missed the cases entirely. 'they/them' in that sentence would not be dative at all, yes. In that example 'names' would still be accusative, but 'they' would probably be just nominative. The people or objects they are giving names to would be the indirect object in the dative case.

nobody cares about your autistic obsession with scots
stop fucking posting about it

I'm sorry if I confused you but I meant to say that my sentence meant "I want them to give their names", I just didn't include all the words because I was trying to preserve the Russian inflectional/(or was it "synthetic?") syntax in my English rewording

I'm HOPING the sentence I'm trying so hard to decode means what I think it means. I'm inferring from the crap results on both the sites I've got these lyrics from, and what my dictionary/Google Translate tells me

>Hello, my name is Peter.
